from our collective history.
WHAT IS A CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture is an
association between a grower and a group of
consumers to provide locally grown food in
exchange for sharing some of the risks inherent
in farming. Locally grown food is more nutritious
and carries a smaller ecological footprint than
food that must travel cross country to the grocery
store. Consumers get the benefit of getting to
know their grower and their production methods
and sharing their connection to the land and their
community. Growers gain assistance with upfront costs and have the peace of mind of
knowing that their produce has been presold.

A small share is approximately a quarter bushel
of vegetables per week and feeds one to two
people. Cost: $350
Pickup will be held on Thursday evenings from

4 to 6 pm from approximately June 18 to

October 29 (20 weeks).
All efforts will be made to provide at least six
different varieties of vegetables per week as well
as fresh herbs and flowers when available.
A $250 deposit is due upon application to
reserve your share. The remainder of the cost
is due by June 1st or the share will be made
available to the next person on our waiting list.
Deposits are non-refundable.

SHARE INFORMATION
A large share is approximately a half bushel of
vegetables per week and feeds a family of four.
Cost: $600
SIGNUP INFORMATION

Partial refunds are available only until June 1st.
After this date refunds will be available only if
someone else can be found to purchase the
share.
Shares must be picked up at the allotted time
and day. If you cannot pick up at the
prescribed time you must contact our farmer at
least 24 hours prior to pick up to make
alternate arrangements. Any shares not
accounted for by 6 pm on Thursday will be
donated to the Christian Center.
Berkshire County Historical Society (BCHS)
members are entitled to a $25 discount for an
individual membership or a $50 discount for a
family membership.
