Materials
Yarn: Premier® Yarns Angel ™(100% Acrylic; 284
yards/260 meters; 3.5 ounces/100 grams)
• 63-210 Cherry Taffy – 5 balls
Knitting Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) or size to obtain gauge
Extras: Yarn needle
Gauge
24 sts and 28 rows = 4" in pat. Use any size needles
necessary to obtain specified gauge.
Abbreviations: beg – beginning; k – knit; mm –
millimeter; p – purl; patt – pattern; rem – remaining; rep
– repeat; RS – right side; St st – stockinette stitch; st(s)
– stitch(es); WS – wrong side; [ ] – repeat instructions in
brackets the number of times specified; * – repeat
instructions after asterisk as specified.
WELT PATTERN STITCH
Rows 1, 3, 5 (RS): Purl.
Rows 2, 4, 6: Knit.
Rows 7, 9, 11: Knit.
Rows 8, 10, 12: Purl.
Rep Rows 1-12 for patt.
LEG WARMERS (Make 2):
Cast on 84 sts. Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 1", ending with
a WS row. Work 2 rows in St st, then beg Welt patt.
Work even until there are 15 purl bands visible from the
RS, or until desired length. Work in St st for 2 rows. Work
in k2, p2 ribbing for 1". Bınd off.
FINISHING
Fold in half and sew back seam. Weave in ends.
SCARF
Cast on 60 sts. Work in Welt patt until piece measures
69" or desired length. Bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
