To enter this department, you MUST mail in an entry form and entry fee(s) and the closing date to be received is July 25, 2014. “Actual” entry items may be submitted in person or by mail. See ENTRY RULES & GUIDELINES in front of handbook for submission dates on hand delivered items or mailed in items. NO GLUED ARTICLES ACCEPTED. All articles entered in competition in the Needlework and Sewing Department must have been completed by the exhibitor within the last two years. No soiled articles will be accepted. Textile painting will not be accepted in this Department. Entries must be of a size suitable to be shown in one of our exhibit cases. No wall hanging item can exceed 36” wide and 36” high, all inclusive. ALL ITEMS MUST BE BLOCKED. State Fair will not be responsible for any damaged, broken and/or missing items. An original item is one TOTALLY conceived and wholly executed by the individual in whose name the item is entered. A kit is a commercially prepared package containing a set of parts or pieces to be assembled or completed by a person who did not prepare the commercial package. Framed Doilies will not be accepted.
