All Janome owners classes begin in January. Call to enroll in Ladybug’s owner classes whether you
have purchased from Ladybug or elsewhere, you are welcome to join us. Janome Education Classes are organized by machine type and as a series of monthly sessions.
If you purchased your Janome at Ladybug Hill Quilts, your owner classes are FREE. Our classes
are organized by topic and the number of classes will vary depending on your machine. Classes
are designed for you to bring your machine and to provide an opportunity to learn machine basics,
explore the machine’s capabilities and to enjoy the use of your sewing machine.
Fundamentals … scheduled for the 1st Friday of each month from 10-12:30. The first class for
all owners covering maintenance, general care, yearly service as well as needles, tension and the
standard feet. Our teacher has extensive knowledge of Janome machines with many useful tips to
guide your knowledge and skill development. FREE for ALL owners even if you have purchased
elsewhere! Please call to enroll.
After the basics are covered, we will guide you to the next level of machine knowledge and skill
with your Janome. These classes are arranged by topic, specific foot which may or may not have
been included in your original purchase, a technique, hoop, skill or project. The number of classes
will vary by machine type.

A simple way to keep track of your owner classes. Each machine type is eligible for FREE classes based on your machine.
When you attend your owner classes, we will punch your card
and keep it on file for you. If you miss a class or wish to retake a class, you will have this easy method to track your remaining classes.

“Garden” by Amy Bradley is the latest design by
this very creative and talented designer.
The motifs are right our of our garden speaking
to us in bright, happy colors and textures.
The applique’ patterns are full size with placement
sheets and easy to follow instructions.
In this 14 block program, we will include everything for the quilt top, blocks, sashing, borders,
prairie points and binding.
“Garden” is designed for fusible applique’. The

Buck A Block returns to LBHQ in 2014 with
two beautiful fabric combinations! This fun
and easy 12 block—12 month program is
perfect for the beginner. Buck a Block is
also enjoyable for the intermediate and advanced quilters.
Our program will run as follows: Select your fabric group,
Harvest Fare or Nantucket and enroll for $15.95*. Enroll

My Blue Heaven Block of the Month
This beautiful wall-hanging has six, 12” finished blocks with beautiful flowers, cottages,
butterflies, and a hummingbird! Each of the
six blocks measure 12” square approximately. Blocks are
created so applique’ will overlap blocks for a very creative
and pleasing design.
The program features Weeks hand over dyed wool and
Over The Top Designs ribbon.
During this beautiful program, you will receive everything
you need to complete each block including pattern, wool

Our in-store, 7 month applique’ study group will be hosted by Beth. The wool study group will explore wool applique’ techniques, creative stitches and

Roses For Freedom Block of the Month ~ Begins May

Roses For Freedom is a
redesigned quilt from the
2009 Challenge quilt, Roses for Remembrance. A fresh, new look, this beautiful
applique quilt showcases the Quilted in
Honor collection from Island Batik. A
portion of the proceeds from fabric sales
will go to support Operation Homefront.
LBHQ is proud to participate supporting
our troops.
We are offering both the “traditional” applique’ method and a “Laser-Cut” method.
You can choose the one that's best for
you.
The traditional method is best if you prefer needle-turn or hand applique; you're
able to cut the shapes as you please and
use the method that you are most comfortable with. The Laser-cut Method is perfect for those who like fusible, machine applique. The lasercut, pre-fused applique shapes are ready to place, press and stitch. It's super easy and so much fun!
Our 13-month Block of the Month Program will include the applique kits, sashing, borders and binding
fabrics needed to make the quilt top. The pattern, found in Sharon Pederson's, The Rose of Sharon
Block Book, and the background fabric is not included in the program. Both are available separately.

Pick two colors for your strips, then pick a contrasting accent. In
our sample the strips are black and white and the accent is red.

The key to learning to do paper piecing is a SIMPLE pattern with concise

learn this technique

resource, Debbie will take you through planning, cutting and

Authorized Service & Repair
Meet Bill, our Janome Certified Technician. Bill has completed
extensive training on all Janome machines. He recently became certified to service and repair the MB4 and MC15000. Turn around time varies. Please call for
more information or to schedule your service or repair.
Class Registration
To reserve a space in a class, it is necessary to pre-register and prepay for the class.
Students are encouraged to register early to reserve their space.
In the event you wish to bring someone with you to class, a separate class registration is required.
We honor and support our design community, therefore, all students are required to have a personally purchased copy of either the pattern, book or CD for the class.
Class Discount for Supplies: We offer a 10% discount for class supplies.
Class Refund Policies
Please verify your schedule when you enroll in a class. We are unable to refund or transfer if you
miss a class or session.
Please contact LBHQ (7) seven days in advance of the class date to receive a full refund of the
class fee.
If Ladybug Hill Quilts cancels a class due to low enrollment, students will be notified and a refund
or store credit will be given for the class fee.
WEATHER ISSUES: When you enroll, please provide your DAY contact home number. We also
can text a message so let us know if you prefer texting. We will call and leave a message if we
cannot reach you personally. Should you have any questions regarding a class, please call.
We follow D11’s weather closure
When schools are closed, we will cancel day or evening classes. If school was open but evening
activities are cancelled, we will also cancel evening classes.
For our employees safety, we may elect to close early if we are experiencing a severe storm or
winds.
