The 2014-2015 $5 Saturday Sampler
Quilt features a
star pattern from the newly released book from Courtship
Quilts Publishing, We are featuring the Bloc_Loc rulers
and book in our 2014-15 program. These three items, an
$80 retail value receive a 20% discount when purchased
with the enrollment of $9.95. The 2 to 1 Large HRT, the
Flying Geese Ruler 1.25x2.5” and the book containing over 50 rotary cut
blocks, 100 quilt designs and bonus sashings are $64 + $9.95 enrollment

With the two rulers and book, we will make the Full Blown Tulip Block”
in a multitude of color combinations. We will introduce the precision,

How will the program work?
#1 … Enroll in the program:
The enrollment includes two rulers, the book noted above and first kit
for $73.95. Should you have one or all of these items, we will issue a store credit for the amount of
the items you own.
#2 …. Attend the session: we will present “The Block Maker II” book and the “Full Blown Tulip block”
pattern. Also, instruction on the ruler and tips for cutting and making the block. We will offer additional
blocks each month for $5 each for purchase so you may make the quilt like ours or similar to ours. We will be
making the same block pattern each month only with different color combinations.
#3 … Bring the completed block back to LBHQ for month #2,
you will receive the next
block kit FREE if your block is complete and attend the session at 9 AM. If you miss the session or do not complete the block, simply pay $5.00 for your next kit.
Session #1 will last approximately 45 minutes. Later sessions will be approximately 30 minutes. We would love
to have you bring your show and tell to share.
Background Fabric: White (different bright/white backgrounds will be used)
Shimmer by Northcott Studio encompasses an extensive range of exquisite textures in vibrant colors with metallic accents. Designed to inspire the quilter. Our quilt will be bright and a very scrappy combination of fabrics


This is a voluntary Block-of-the-Month. When you sign
up to do this you must be committed for the entire
time. Otherwise, someone will not get their box back.

Enrollment: There is a one-time $39.95 start-up fee
and will include the “Block Tool”. Enroll by June 1 and
save $5.00 on the enrollment. #628

At the end, you will have 12 different blocks made for
you …. How fun!

We will complete the 12 blocks in 9 months, therefore, some months will require you to make 2 blocks.

Please pick-up and return the box on the dates listed
below. The next person cannot start their block if you
still have the box.
How To Prep

Register and pick up your empty Pizza Box.

Select the fabrics YOU love to put in the Pizza Box. This fabric is for
the blocks only. You will need:
~2 yards of a focal fabric (best to avoid a very large print)
~2 yards of a background fabric

Label the focal fabric and the background fabric. All blocks made in
this BOM must include these 2 fabrics at a minimum in every block.

Return to Ladybug Hill Quilts to pick up your assigned Pizza Box. Sew a quilt block of your
choosing from the “Quick & Easy Block Tool” from the fabrics included.

The block size must be 12.5-inches unfinished (12 inches finished)

You can only use the fabrics in the box. Do not add additional fabrics.

Put the scraps in the scrap bag included with each box. The next person may need some of
those smaller pieces — especially for the last person to get the box.

Put the completed block and remaining fabric in the box, sign the sheet on the front and return
to Ladybug Hill Quilts before July 29th.

Return to LBHQ on the dates listed below to pick up the next Pizza Box.

When you make the additional blocks, you cannot make one that is already in the box.
~Example: if there is a 9-patch in the box, you cannot make another 9 patch block.

If you fussy cut the fabric, please be conservative. Try not to cut out of the center of the fabric. Remember, the last block has to be made with whatever fabric is left in the box.

This beautiful wool wall-hanging has six, 12” blocks with whimsical flowers, cottages and butterflies. The
Designer’s sample is on a wool background.
Our program features Weeks hand over dyed wool. During this Block of the Month program, you will receive
the wool, background and pattern for each block. We offer the background in either a hand-dyed wool as
selected by the Designer or similar flannel.

Class Registration
To reserve a space in a class, it is necessary to preregister and prepay for the class.
Registration may be done in person or by phone
using a credit card, cash or gift card.
Students are encouraged to register early to reserve their space.
Ladybug Hill Quilts has a Janome Certified Technician on staff to provide you
with all Janome service or repair needs.
In the event you wish to bring someone with you to
class, a separate class registration is required.
Elna and Necchi service and repair available soon.
We honor and support our Design community,
therefore, all students are required to have a personally purchased copy of either the pattern or
book for the class.

Class Refund Policies
Please contact LBHQ (7) seven days in advance of
the class date to receive a full refund of the class
fee. There are no refunds for cancellations less
than seven (7) days. Please verify your schedule
when you enroll in a class. We are unable to refund or transfer f you miss a class/session.
When we offer the LBHQ ‘Class Ticket’, the ’Class
Ticket’ will allow the student to take as many designated classes during a specific schedule for one
fee. Due to the popularity of the ‘class ticket’,
please enroll in each class or call to un-enroll if you
cannot attend the class so others may enroll.
If Ladybug Hill Quilts, cancels a class due to low
enrollment, teacher emergency or inclement
weather, students will be notified by telephone.
Please provide your cell phone when you enroll.
We will call you and leave a message if we cannot
reach you. A refund or store credit for the class
