Together we are building a community in which people can explore the big questions of life and Christianity’s answers, work together for a thriving neighborhood and serve those in need. Please fill out the orange Visitor Card found in the pew pocket, and place it in the offering plate so we can inform you about all the exciting things happening here in the life of the church. [44] (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) [45] When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, for they also had been there. [46] Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. [47] When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. [48] "Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders," Jesus told him, "you will never believe." Trading My Sorrows I’m trading my sorrows, I’m trading my shame; I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord. I’m trading my sickness, I’m trading my pain; I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord. We say yes, Lord, yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord. Yes Lord, yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord. Yes, Lord, yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord, Amen. I am pressed but not crushed, persecuted, not abandoned, Struck down but not destroyed. I am blessed beyond the curse, for His promise will endure, That His joy is gonna be my strength. Though the sorrow may last for the night, His joy comes with the morning. One Thing Remains Higher than the mountains that I face Stronger than the power of the grave Constant through the trial and the change One thing… Remains Your love never fails, never gives up Never runs out on me On and on and on and on it goes It overwhelms and satisfies my soul And I never, ever, have to be afraid One thing remains In death, In life, I’m confident and covered by the power of Your great love My debt is paid, there’s nothing that can separate my heart from Your great love... Congregational Prayer & the Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen. Offering to the Lord Let My Words Be Few (9:15 am) Sweet Canaan (10:45 am) Give Thanks Give thanks with a grateful heart, Give thanks to the Holy One, Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son. And now, let the weak say, “I am strong!” Let the poor say, I am rich!” Because of what the Lord has done for us! Prayer of Thanksgiving Dismissal for Children’s Church (10:45 am) Fairest Lord Jesus Hymn #170 Silent Prayer and Reflection John 4:49-54 (page 1054 in pew Bible) [49] The royal official said, "Sir, come down before my child dies." [50] Jesus replied, "You may go. Your son will live." The man took Jesus at his word and departed. [51] While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. [52] When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, "The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour." [53] Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live." So he and all his household believed. [54] This was the second miraculous sign that Jesus performed, having come from Judea to Galilee. Jesus Heals Message Behold Our God Who has held the oceans in His hands? Who has numbered every grain of sand? Kings and nations tremble at His voice All creation rises to rejoice Behold our God seated on His throne Come let us adore Him Behold our King nothing can compare Come let us adore Him! Who has given counsel to the Lord? Who can question any of His Words? Who can teach the One who knows all things? Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds? Who has felt the nails upon His hands Bearing all the guilt of sinful man? God eternal humbled to the grave Jesus, Savior risen now to reign! You will reign forever!
