We are making classes so easy – you will finish your projects during these classes; we are putting the kits together for you; with the exception of the embroidery class, we are providing the Janome MC8900 machines for you to sew on; the Mariner’s Compass Class is an easy construction class and will be completed in a half day – it is not a learn how to make a Mariner’s compass over three days but rather in a half day – you will be amazed – we are offering Mariner Compass classes on Friday evening, August 2, and Sunday afternoon, August 4, when many of YOU have asked us to hold classes – so sign up to enjoy these special classes! We are excited to welcome Mary Carollo, Janome Educator, and Kym Goldup-Graham, co-owner of Australian company The Sewing Revolution. You will not want to miss meeting these very talented ladies who will be bringing samples to further inspire your passion of sewing. After the events, the Janome MC8900 will be offered at a very special price since they have been used in the classroom. You can trade in your machine too – what a deal! You can try out these machines at Janome MC8900 Test Drives on Tuesday, July 30, 6-9 pm, and Wednesday, July 31, 10 am–1 pm. You will be making a small Essentials Bag during the Test Drive that you will take home and enjoy. All three days are identical. rd Pam Damour’s Home Decorating For the Holidays – November 3 & 4 We are excited to welcome back Pam Damour, The Decorating Diva, for two days of Home Decorating for the Holidays Trunk Shows and Hands-On Workshops. There will be NEW home décor sewing classes for all makes of machines; no embroidery classes. Pam was the guest presenter for our first anniversary celebration in 2010 and many people enjoyed her unique projects and home decorating ideas. Space is limited in our classroom so pre-register now! Help Us Make Quilts for Sunrise Children’s Services Boys Home We need your help! We have been asked to make twin-size quilts for the boys at Sunrise Children’s Services. The boys are 12 to 18 years of age and have suffered from abuse or severe neglect in their home life. These boys enter the home with nothing, but the quilt they receive is their own to keep. We need all quilts by December 10. Ask Shelia Meredith, Louisville Project Linus Coordinator, Linda, or the Moore’s Team for further information. The approximate size is 60 to 70” by 80 to 90”. The fabric of the quilt should be appropriate for a tween or teenage boy.
