Betty's Beef Jerky + Ground Beef Jerky (Rick) Published on 18 Apr 2015 Betty's Husband, Rick, demonstrates how to make beef jerky + ground beef jerky using an electric dehydrator. The brand of our dehydrator is Nesco American Harvester. It is available at Amazon.com. If you would like to purchase this model of dehydrator, you can follow this link to my Amazon store: http://www.bettyskitchen.us/shop.html and search for "Nesco square-shaped dehydrator" under the Kitchen & Housewares category. Marinade for Beef Jerky 2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce 2/3 cup soy sauce 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons onion powder 1 tablespoon molasses 1 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon liquid smoke 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Combine all marinade ingredients in a small bowl. Place strips of meat in a flat container and pour marinade over top. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator for 3 hours. Drain strips of meat, patting dry with paper toweling. Place marinated strips of meat in a dehydrator in single layers. Put lid on dehydrator and plug it in. Turn to 150 degrees (F) (or indicated heat for your dehydrator). Check beef jerky after about 6 hours, and it should be done. Leave the jerky strips longer for crisper beef jerky. Enjoy! Please subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/bettyskitchen
