It offers complete country guides to give you in depth information about your location, as well as tips and training on how to stay safe while overseas. Real time alerts offer you the ability to stay abreast of developing situations. From here you can view the latest News and Alerts; Country Specific information and Pre-Travel Advice. You can also create your own personal profile and modify the Account Settings. This is the number you will enter when sending a Mayday alert. Note that it is optional to send your GPS location, images and audio when sending an alert. Check the boxes based on your preferences. This provides a secure place to keep a copy of any medical records which you might need during your travels, such as medical reports and vaccination history. Return to the main menu and select Country profiles to add countries to your Watchlist. Once on the Watchlist you will be notified of any news and alerts. Select the ‘Alert Emergency Contact’ option to send the alert, or ‘Call Healix Emergency Assistance’. Once a Mayday alert has been triggered a countdown will begin. You can cancel using your PIN if made by mistake. You can choose to send your GPS location as well as images and audio files taken at the time of the alert. Comprised of 7 video modules and quizzes, the course will prepare any traveller for their trip with topics including: - Personal Security Protocol Preparation & Arrival Travel Health Risks Getting Around Your Destination Street Crime & Robbery Carjacking & Kidnapping Terrorism & Civil Unrest Easily accessed within the Pre-Trip Advice section. Clicking Travel Angel will take the user directly to the course. The entire course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.
