Warm Weather and Dress
Expectations
BHJH Sports Update
With the mild and warm weather
hopefully upon us in the coming
weeks, I want to remind students
and parents of our school’s dress
expectation that was shared with
everyone in September.
Congratulations to all four teams on
all your successes this season. Both
the boys and girls Junior Varsity
Teams posted great records in the
regular season while falling just short
during playoff action. The Varsity
Squads also experienced a great deal
of success by advancing to the Regional Finals where the boys lost to a
very strong Truro Junior Team and
the girls captured the Regional Title
defeating RECC. Congratulations to
all players and a special thanks to all
coaches for your dedication to our
basketball program.
The athletes
truly appreciate the time you give.
The administration and staff at
Bible Hill Junior High believe that
the school is not only an institution
for academic learning but for training for the work force as well. As a
result of this, an expectation that
students wear appropriate clothing
to school will be enforced. This
means that, in the regular school
environment,
students
should
dress respectfully by not wearing
clothing that reveals their midriff or
undergarments.
The following are specifically prohibited for wear in the school:
Basketball
Badminton
Hats and other headwear
Best of luck to all badminton players
who are participating at the District
Championships on March 31st and
April 1st at CEC. Players are looking
to advance to the Regional Championships being held in Amherst on
April 10th and 11th.

Congratulations to the Boys Curling
Team and coach Ms. George who captured the Regional Title at the Truro
Curling Club on Monday March 30th.
Way to go boys!
 Inappropriate cresting on shirts
or jackets
 Spaghetti straps, visible bra
straps and tube tops, unless under a covering top
 Short shorts/ skirts (They are to
be longer than the finger tips
when the arms are relaxed by
the side)
 plunging necklines
 Any item which poses a hazard,
or may be used as a weapon,
may not be worn as clothing
 Any other type of clothing that is
deemed inappropriate for the
school environment which will be
addressed on a case by case basis.
It is recognized that some articles
of clothing might be acceptable in
certain situations (e.g. Phys. Ed or
Drama classes), that are not to be
worn in regular classes. Students
who are not in compliance with the
code will be asked to "cover up"
and parents will be notified if they
do not comply.
