To construct this quilt, you will need:
Color A
2 yards
Color B
2 yards
Color C
2 yards
You can use a variety of fabrics for each color, just make sure you have at
least 2 yards total. You do not have to choose a dark, medium and light
fabric, just be certain that your three colors will contrast well.
The quilt consists of 24 Ohio Star blocks and 16 Strip-Pieced blocks. See
separate cutting charts & explanations.

In order to follow the cutting chart for the Ohio Star blocks (next page),
you must first determine how many blocks you will be making of each fabric. For example, if you are using only one Color B fabric, you will follow
the line for 24 blocks. If you are using four Color B fabrics, you will want
to make 6 blocks from each fabric, and you will follow the line for 6
blocks. The same is true for the Color A and Color C fabrics.
The chart looks complex, but it is really easy to follow. The chart allows
you to use a variety of fabrics to complete the quilt top — USE THAT

Stitch 24 Ohio Star Blocks. Always press
seams away from pieced blocks. When attaching the top and bottom rows, press
seams on 12 blocks toward the center, and
press the seams on 12 blocks AWAY from
the center. This will help later on with piecing the rows.
