Cooked Food in affordable Price
Under BMC four “AAHAR” outlets
have been opened to serve cooked Rice and

To provide cooked food in affordable price in
urban area, State Government has launched different works.
“AAHAR” programme. Honorable Chief
Minister, Sri Naveen Pattnaik officially

launched this programme on 1 April by
distributing food in the “AAHAR” outlet in
Capital Hospital premises. In the launching
event Sri Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Honorable
Health Minister, Sri Priyadarshi Mishra, Sri
Bijay Kumar Panda, Honorable MLA of North
and Central respectively were also present.

Civic Work in the BMC Bhawani Mall
Beyond entertainment and fashion, the
floors of BMC Bhawani Mall will be
utilized for some civic work. Bhubaneswar
Municipal Corporation's Planning Cell,
ODA Court and Land Assets offices will

function in the 2 floor of Bhawani Mall.
The 7000 square feet area is built up with
state of the art facilities with modern look
on its face.
The new offices were inaugurated
by Sri Pushpendu Singh Deo, Honorable
Minister for Housing and Urban
Development. In the inauguration
programme, Sri Priyadarshi Mishra, Sri
Bijay Kumar Panda, MLA of North and
Central resepectively, Sri Anant Narayan
Jena, Honorable Mayor, Smt. K. Shanti,
Honorable Deputy Mayor were also
present along with BMC Commissioner
and other officials.

Grievance lodging becomes hassle free
and redressal quicker…….
BMC has launched the mobile app
named “My City My Pride” in order to
provide quick, responsive, and effective
redressal of grievances to its citizens.
Now, sitting at home a citizen can
lodge a complaint
through the BMC
w e b s i t e
“www.bmcsampark.in”,
relating to Sanitation and
Street Lighting.
I m m e d i a t e l y, t h e
complaint will be
forwarded to the
concerned officer(s) who are categorized
as level-1. The complainant in turn will be
automatically given a number for tracking
the complaint status.
The L1 officer shall accordingly
take steps to resolve the issue. In case of
non-disposal by the L1, the complaint
will be forwarded to the next higher
authority (Level-2). Like this, the issue
will be escalated to the highest authority
(L4) in case the same is not resolved.
The authority on the other hand
can view the complaints
through the mobile app
“BMC M Office” the no.
of complaints received,
details of such
complaints with photo (if
any), and the status with
whom it is pending and
since when.
This application has also another
feature to recognize the good work done
by an officer. When a complaint is
resolved in a single day, the officer
concerned resolving the same gets the
status of “Action Hero”.
BMC has opened
around one hundred
water kiosks in various
public places of
Bhubaneswar. All these
water kiosks are jointly
operated by BMC and
Civic Organisations.

SBA Awareness Rally in Laxmipur Slum
Residents Participated in Cleanliness Programme
Slum residents of OUAT Farmgate Slum
(Laxmipur Slum) participated in the Swachha
Bhuabaneswar Abhiyan programme
organized by Smt. Binayini Jena, Corporator
of ward no 51. In the programme an awareness
rally was organized where slum residents
participated with chanting slogans on clean
Bhubaneswar and green Bhubaneswar theme.
In the awareness programme Smt. K.
Shanti, Honorable Deputy Mayor participated
and encouraged residents about good hygienic
practice. SBA Cell officers facilitated the
programme and also distributed some IEC
materials in the area.
From Health to Hygiene: Resettling the Slum residents
BMC has taken up slum resettlement
programme for the Banaphula Slum
residents. Basic facilities like health,
sanitation and electricity facility is being
provided to the slum residents.
BMC is organizing free health camps
in the re settled slum every week where
specialists like Pediatrics, Medicine and
Gynecologist are attending camp. Routine
immunization is also carried out from time to
time. Engineering wing of BMC has taken up
steps to clear choked drainage and dewatering in the affected area. CLTC wing of
BMC is dedicatedly working on the resettlement activities of this slum.

Work Order Mela
For construction and repair of
various drains and roads BMC has
given around Rs. Four Crore to
contractors. Honorable Mayor Sri
Ananat Narayan Jena, Honorable
Deputy Mayor Smt. K. Shanti gave
the work orders to various
contractors in a Work Order Mela
held in the conference hall of BMC.
Honorable Mayor instructed all the
contractors to ensure quality and to
finish the work in time.
Orientation Programme for IHL
In order to stop open defecation Swachha
Bhubaneswar Mission is providing financial
assistance to construct Individual House Hold
Latrines (IHL). Under this programme BMC will
provide financial assistance to beneficiaries who
are not having sanitary latrines. To implement the
campaign effectively SBA Cell of BMC has
organized a brainstorming meeting on the issue.
The meeting Chaired by Additional Commissioner
Smt. D. Brinda where Sri Jyoti Ranjan Mishra,
Deputy Secretary, H & UD gave a presentation on
the rules and acts of SBM.
