Dakota Community Centre Inc. requires a driven business leader with the
right blend of management experience, and fundraising and sponsorship
success to help sustain and grow its vital role as a community hub. As CEO,
you will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of
the Centre, including program development and fundraising campaigns.
If you are a people person who is ready to take on an important leadership
role and face a new challenge head on, we want to speak with you.
You will be expected to:
 Build a strategic plan in collaboration with the board of directors, to
ensure the ongoing growth and stability of the organization
 Execute the strategic plan and achieve targets
 Spearhead sponsorship, capital, and fundraising campaigns
 Oversee the development and construction of a new field house
($16M to $18M project)
 Provide leadership to the Centre’s management and operations team
and oversee administrative duties
 Assist with developing and implementing Centre policies and
programs
You must have:
 7+ years of experience in business and/or facilities management
 Post-secondary education in commerce, business administration, or
equivalent
 Experience managing a successful business venture or not-for-profit
organization
 Proven leadership abilities
 Strong ability to collaborate with a volunteer board
 Excellent communication and presentation skills

CENTRE INC.
Dakota Community Centre Inc. is a
busy and growing hub of the St. Vital
neighbourhood. Its current building Jonathan Toews Sportsplex - offers a
fitness facility, gymnasium, pre-school
and two indoor rinks. The Dakota
grounds also include an outdoor
basketball court, splash pad and 3
outdoor rinks. To add to its current
offering, the Centre is also planning to
introduce a 50,000 sq. ft. field house
