All entries and competition in this tournament must be in
accordance with the rules and regulations of the United States
Bowling Congress and the PA STATE YOUTH ASSOCIATION.
Each entrant in the Annual tournament must be a member of
the USBC within the area served by the state association.
USBC youth membership cards must be presented at
check in by bowler. Bowlers not in possession of a USBC
membership card must file an affidavit of membership or
purchase an affiliate membership.
Multiple Entry is permitted. In order to place more than once
in the award standings, Team Event–two players must be
different. Doubles Event–at least one player must be different.
Singles/All Events–may not place more than once.

Scratch Divisions for both Girls and Boys Singles and All
Events - you must check entry form to enter this division.
Bowlers do not have to enter both the singles and doubles
events, you may enter just doubles or just singles.
HANDICAPS for each event shall be based on 100% of the
difference between entering average and top of class. For the
top average divisions, handicap will based on the following:
Team Event: 880, Doubles Event: 440, Singles and All Events:
220. Handicap will be computed on three games series.
AVERAGES: Entrants shall use their highest USBC certified
average, 15 games or more as of January 1, 2015. If no
January 1 league average, entrant may use highest current
league average as of the time of bowling, 15 games or more.
Proof of average must accompany each entry form. If no
proof of average is given, bowler will bowl scratch, a 220
average will be assigned. Bowlers with Sport League averages
shall adjust their average as per Rule 202d of the USBC Rules
Book, indicate on entry form average is Sport League Adjusted
Average.
It shall be each bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of
their average in this tournament, whether originally submitted
by the bowler, team captain or others. Failure to use the proper
average shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower
than correct average, thereby resulting in a lower classification
or more handicap. Awards listings shall be based on the
submitted average if it is higher than the correct average.
However, corrections in average may be permitted up to the
completion of the first game in a series.

SUBSTITUTES may be used when necessary as long as such
substitute meets all rules of eligibility. No substitute will be
accepted for the ALL EVENTS, unless he/she is replacing the
original bowler in all three events and the all-events fee has
been paid. Substitute must bowl in same position as original
bowler. A Substitute may change the division in which you
bowl, see tournament rule 4.
All squad/team or line-up changes must be by 6PM the
Thursday prior to your tournament weekend. Four person
teams and double teams shall bowl in order as submitted on
original entry application. Substitution shall be made at least
1/2 hour prior to the time scheduled to bowl, the deadline for
reporting to the office by the team captain. Tournament
Management shall schedule Lane assignments for each event
of this tournament.
AWARDS/SCHOLARSHIP FEES shall be returned 100% in
the way of awards/scholarships. Only those entrants, who pay
the $5.00 entry fee, qualify for participation in the All Events
scholarship fund. Must pay all-events fee prior to first event
bowled.
All-Events – is the combined first bowled scores in the
Team, Doubles and Singles Events. Bowler must bowl
each event at least once to enter All-Events. (Note: If you
also substitute and have paid all-events, if they are the first
scores bowled, they will count toward all events.)
In the event of a tie for first place in any event co-champions
shall be declared.
AWARD RATIO shall be 1 award for each ten entries in each
of the events/divisions.
No practice on any scheduled tournament lanes for that day.
WALK-INS/RE-ENTRIES ACCEPTED, ½ HOUR PRIOR TO
EACH SQUAD PROVIDED LANES ARE AVAILABLE.
Improper conduct during the course of your competition shall
be cause for disqualification of score in that event.

confirmation letter, (one for each bowler). Dress
code is strictly enforced.
Failure to comply with the above rules shall result in
disqualification of all scores bowled.

2015 USBC Junior Gold Championship Qualifier Tournament Rules
Please Read Carefully!
This tournament is certified by the United States Bowling Congress and will be
conducted in accordance with the USBC Rules.
Eligibility: All entrants must be a member in good standing with the USBC Association and also must be a member
of the USBC Junior Gold Program.
Entries: Entrants need to check in with the tournament manager or his/her assistants beginning 30 minutes before
scheduled bowling time. All bowlers must COMPLETELY fill out an entry form and show a current USBC
certification card, along with their Junior Gold Membership card. Bowlers may purchase their Junior Gold
Membership card at the time of check in, U12 Division - $10, U15 and U20 Divisions - $30
Fees: The fee per division is as follows:
U12 - $20 (Date of birth 8/1/02 or later)
U15 - $30 (Date of birth between 8/1/99 and 7/31/02)
U20 - $40 (Date of Birth between 8/1/94 and 7/31/99)
Age Divisions: Tournament being conducted for three age divisions:
U12 - Date of birth 8/1/02 or later
U15 - Date of birth between 8/1/99 and 7/31/02
U20 - Date of Birth between 8/1/94 and 7/31/99
Format: Bowlers will use their 3 game actual total from the singles squad event that they entered in the 12th Annual
Pennsylvania State USBC Youth Open Championships. You may enter only once in this event. This tournament is run
with no major fraction. National Junior Gold qualifiers will be determined with a ratio of 1:5 in all divisions. Ties for
qualifying places shall be broken by using highest game in series.
Dress Code: Same as the 12th Annual Pennsylvania State USBC Youth Open Championships. See dress code on web
site, bowlpa.org and click on link for the tournament dress code.
Conduct: The use of profanity, alcohol or tobacco products by any youth bowler will not be permitted. The first
violation of this rule will be a warning and the second violation will be disqualification without a refund. Any rules not
specifically listed will be governed by the USBC.
Tournament Committee: Any protest affecting eligibility or general playing rules must be made within seven (7) days
of participation and confirmed in writing to the tournament manager. Errors in scoring must be reported to the
tournament manager within 24 hours. The Tournament Committee shall have the power to hear and act on all protests
arising from or under construction of the rules of the tournament and their decision shall be final. The Tournament
Committee shall decide any questions not covered by these tournament rules. Any questions arising not covered by the
above rules will be referred to the Tournament Committee.
