DALLAS USBC WOMEN'S BOWLING ASSUCIA TION LOCAL 2015 TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS The local tournament will be March 21-22, 28-29. This tournament shall be conducted in accordance GOVERNING LOCAL AND STATE TOURNAMENTS AND THE USBe GENERAL PLAYING RULES. with the USBC RULES 1. WHO MAY BOWUPARTICIPATION Entrants must be active members of Dallas USBC WBA to participate in the tournament (memberships can be purchased in tournament office). Not more than two PBA card holders per team. Multiple entries will be allowed in each event (team, doubles and singles). If a bowler enters doubles, at least one entry in singles is required. No more than two players on one team may place more than once in the prize fund in the team event standings_ Bowlers may place as many times as they qualify in the doubles event, but may not place with the same partner more Ihan one time. Not more than one PBA card holder per doubles pair. A bowler may not place more than one time in the singles event. Re-entries and walk-Ins for the Doubles and Singles events will be allowed depending on the availability of lanes. The highest score bowled in each event in the tournament shall count for Ail-Events. 2. ENTRY FEE Entry fee will be $25.00 per bowler, per event. All-events is optional, but the $5.00 fee must be paid in order to participate in the all-events prize fund. Entrant does not have to be entered in all three events to pay the optional all-events fee. Paid all-events are not transferable unless substitute replaces original entrant in all three events. All entries for the local tournament must be in writing and postmarked by Saturday, March 14, 2015. The correct fees must accompany entries. One personal check per entry form will be accepted. There will be a $30.00 returned check fee for all checks returned unpaid by the bank. After entry has been accepted and filed, the entry and fees cannot be returned. 3. AVERAGE RULING B: If Rule A cannot be applied, the bowler shall use her highest Dallas USBC WBA or Dallas USBC VABA current 2014 summer league average of 15 or more games in one league. A final league standing sheet must be provided if average is not in www.bowl.com. AVERAGE RULING C: If the bowler does not qualify under Rules A or B, she may enter by using her highest Dallas USBC WBA or Dallas USBC YABA current average of 15 or more games in one league as of February 1, 2015. A league standing sheet as of February 1, 2015 must be· provided, BOWLERS are RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING their OWN AVERAGE, whether submitted by the bowler, the team captain or others. 4. DIVISION CLASSIFICATIONS and HANDICAP The handicap for the local tournament shall be 90% of 220. and in divisions as follows: Division 1 Singles and All-Events 185 & Above Doubles 370 & Above 740 Be Above Team Division 2 Singles and All-Events 160 - 184 Doubles 320 - 369 640-739 Team Division 3 Singles and All-Events 140 - 159 Doubles 280 - 319 560-639 Team Division 4 Singles and All· Events 139 - Below Doubles 279 & Below Test 559 & Below Division 5 Senior (All team members must be 55 as of February 1, 2015). 5. PRIZE RATIOS & AWARDS All prize money will be returned 100%. Prize ratio will be at least 1 :5. Awards will be given to the winning team, doubles, singles, and all-events champions in each division. In case of a tie for first place in any event, duplicate awards will be given. The high scratch series champion will be given an entry into the 2015 Texas Bluebonnet Tournament and the high senior scratch series champion will be given an entry into the 2015 Senior Queen's Tournament. Senior bowlers are eligible for the Faye Browning Award (Senior High Scratch Game Ages 55-64, the Bunny Larson Award (Super Senior High Scratch Game Ages 65 & up, and the Betty Chandler Award (Super Senior 9 Game Scratch Series Ages 65 & up). 6. CONFIRMATION Team captains will receive confirmation of dates and times by mail or email. 7. SUBSTITUTES Substitutes are allowed. Averages of substitutes may change the di~jsion of an event (Ieam, doubles or singles). Substitute changes must be made 1 hour prior to the scheduled time to bowl. 8. PACERS: Pacers are t;1otallowed. 9. PROTESTS: Any protest affecting eligibility or general playing rules must be filed in writing to the tournament secretary within 7 days from close of tournament. ; 10. CORRECTION OF SCORES The Tournament Director or designee shall have the power to correct scores during competition. Other errors in scoring must be reported to the Tournament Director'within 24 hours. 11. PRIZE DISBURSEMENT All team prize rnoney shall. be paid to the winners within 30 days after the tournament closes. The Tournament Director shall mail all prize checks to the team captains who will be responsible for distribution within 15 days. All checks must be cashed within 90 days of issue. 12. SUITABLE ATTIRE Participants must wear suitable attire. Use good judgment. Preferred: Walking shorts, slacks and skirts. Not acceptable: short shorts, short skirts, tom jeans, tank tops, halter tops, bare midriffs, spaghetti strap tops, etc. 13, CHECK-tN, All membership cards, including substitutes, must be available at check-in. 14. RULE 319a: Average Adjustment for Entry will be waived. 15. SLOW BOWLING: The tournament has an allotted time of 3 hours for team and 4 hours for doubles and singles. Bowlers are expected to complete their competition within these time frames. Tournament officials will monitor pace. Additional time due to equipment failure will be given appropriately. Slow bowlers rnay be moved to another lane to finish to allow an on-time start for the next squad -I
