Hello Bluefins Families,
Further to past communications in this regard, we have received official notification from the Sportsplex that
the Sportsplex Pool will close renovations after daily operations on Friday, June 12, 2015. As it stands right
now, plans are that it will not re-open before January 2016. In the long term this is great news to our Club - the
upgrades to the ventilation systems, and to the pool itself have been long awaited and will mean a much
improved facility for our athletes to train in.
In the short term, we can be thankful that this date is later than originally anticipated and will only moderately
impact our programming for the remainder of the 2014-2015 swim year:

Learn To Swim (Monday LTS3 only) – the only impact of the pool closure on our LTS program is the final
class (June 15) for our Monday LTS3 swimmers. These swimmers are welcome to attend one of the
following sessions the preceding week: Tues Jun 9 5:30 - 6:30pm, Tues Jun 9 6:30 - 7:30pm, Wed Jun 10
6 - 7pm, Thur Jun 11 5:30 - 6:30pm, or Thur Jun 11 6:30-7:30pm.

MiniFins (Level 4 and 5) – will continue to train through to Junior Provincials (June 19-21). Their
program will be a combination of enhanced dryland sessions either at the Sportsplex Track or
Outperforme (345-10th Street) as well as in-pool sessions at Shilo Pool. The attached calendar provides
the details of times and locations.

Competitive – will continue to train through ManSask Championships (July 2-5) in a combination of
enhanced dryland sessions either at the Sportsplex Track or Outperforme (345-10th Street) as well as inpool sessions at Shilo Pool.
The Bluefins Board of Directors and Coaching Staff are hard at work finalizing programming for the 2015-2016
season, and can confidently say that we are able to provide all levels of programming (Learn-to-Swim, MiniFins,
and Competitive) during this closure that will be challenge and develop our talented group of swimmers. We
will be sharing the information about fall programming (the 'when', 'where', and 'how') at our Annual General
Meeting which is scheduled for Wed, June 17, 2015 from 6-7:30pm in the Sportsplex Boardroom.
