us time to get your student’s records to their new school before

PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO VISIT
Parents are welcome to visit the school anytime. We would
encourage parents to limit their stay to half a day and to find
daycare for younger siblings as they can be a disruption to the
classroom. We enjoy having parents visit school, eat lunch
with their children, and be part of the school.

The Valley Springs Elementary monthly newsletter The Valley Voice and other school
notes will not be sent home as paper copies this year. We will send notes via e-mail.

If you do not have internet access, please contact the school office to arrange for paper copies of notes and the newsletter.
The lost and found at VSE is FULL.
If your student is missing anything please stop by the school and
check out the lost and found.
All items left in the VSE lost and found after May 29, 2015 will be
donated to a local charity
All Kindergarten and Grade 1 students will
have a field trip on Friday, May 15th. Students will need to bring a sack lunch. Classroom teachers will send more information home.
All Grade 5 students will participate in the DistrictWide Grade 5 Field Day on Friday, May 15th. Students will need to dress in layers, wear tennis shoes,
bring a water bottle and bring a sack lunch. More information will be sent home by the classroom teacher.
All Grade 4 and Grade 5 students will have an all
day field trip on Tuesday, May 19th. The students
will tour EROS Data Center then go to Carousel
Skate. Students will need to bring a sack lunch.

All Grade 2 and Grade 3 students will have an all
day field trip on Tuesday, May 19th. The students will go to the Washington Pavilion and
Skyzone. All students will need a sack lunch for
the field trip. The classroom teachers will send

NEWS FROM VSE LIBRARY
The last day to check out books from the Valley Springs
Elementary library is Friday, May 8th. ALL BOOKS ARE
DUE BACK TO THE VSE LIBRARY BY FRIDAY, MAY
15th.
Please keep an eye out for books that should be returned
to the library but have found their way to bookshelves at
home. Students who misplace books often find them in
their own classrooms or on their bookshelves at
home. We appreciate your help!

Hello VSE Families,
The last day of school will soon be here. Our last day of
school is Wednesday, May 20th. We will hold our awards
ceremony at 8:30 on May 20th. Following the awards ceremony VSE PTA will have inflatables and other fun activities for the VSE students.
**If you plan on eating lunch at VSE on the last day of
school, please let the VSE office or classroom teacher
know before Wednesday, May 6th.
**Classes at VSE will dismiss at 2:00 on the last day of
school.
**Final report cards will be mailed to your home.
