BLACK ROCK MINISTRIES
PRAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY:
GLOBAL MISSIONS:
Pray that Black Rock attendees and members will continue
inviting family, friends, neighbors or co-workers who need
to know that God loves them and has an awesome plan for
their lives. Pray also that the many guests who attended our
Easter services will return in future weeks and make a lasting
commitment to follow Jesus.
Hans and Carrie Franzen – Pray for the continuing spiritual
development of the 115 New England students who attended
the Ambition student conference in January and will be asked
to consider missions service upon graduation. Pray for the next
wave of planting missional chapters at New England community
colleges and commuter campuses.
ADULT MINISTRY:
Pray that many at Black Rock will connect in meaningful
relationships and grow spiritually. Expressly pray as we
focus on identifying and equipping key volunteer leaders
and teams that are so critical to the growth of our church.
CARE MINISTRY:
Pray for our Care Shepherds as they serve those who are ill,
isolated or otherwise in need within the Black Rock Church
family. Pray also for clear direction as the Care Leadership
Team (Deacons/Deaconesses) considers initiatives to better
serve our church and the greater community. Finally, pray for
those who are attending Grieving with Hope, a 13-week
grief management seminar.
KIDS MINISTRY:
Continue praying for our Kids Ministry staff and volunteers
as they share God’s love with children through service and
teaching. Also pray for the effective utilization of our new
facility, along with the staffing and programming details
involved in caring well for each child.
STAFF PERSON OF THE WEEK:
Michael Michaud – Preschool Area
STUDENT MINISTRY:
Pray for our Student Ministry staff and volunteers as they
seek to model Christ’s character in their lives to our youth
and influence students to form lifelong commitments to the
Savior. Pray also for spiritual transformation in the growing
number of students coming to Black Rock each week. Ask
God to guard hearts and minds as students encounter issues
that challenge their faith. Finally, pray for spiritual awakening
among educators and students in area middle and high schools.
WORSHIP MINISTRY:
Continue praying for our Worship Ministry teams as they
seek to glorify God through music and message each week.
Expressly pray for the effective use of our Worship Center
as a tool to creatively communicate the Gospel to our church
family and guests. Also pray for the members of our technical
team as they oversee the media and sound areas that are so
essential to our message. Finally, pray that the powerful Gospel
message delivered through music will continue to influence the
hearts of those who need to receive Jesus as Savior.
Peter and Miriam Fretheim – Pray that the Gospel will go forth
in power to those who are spiritually lost and precious in God’s
sight with the result that many will receive Jesus as Savior. Also
pray that the Fretheims will consistently place God first as they
discipline themselves to spend much time in daily prayer.
Greg and Jeanie Ganssle – Pray for Jeanie as she continues to
shepherd more than 50 Cru staff moms after their relocation to
California. Pray also for their ongoing transition as Greg settles
into his teaching position at Talbot School of Theology and they
seek a new church, meet neighbors, etc.
Drew and Jennifer Gentile – Pray that more effective ways will
be identified to connect their graduating students in India with
ministries in cities where they work. Pray also for the launch of
a ministry to Indian lawyers and other legal professionals. Finally,
pray that they will develop good pilot models for the new campus
to city bridge that involves connecting Cru alumni to ministries
which work with adults.
Mitch and Zhava Glaser – Pray for the salvation of the religious
Jewish community along with the growth, both in quantity and
quality, of their Chosen People Ministries staff. Lastly, pray for
Mitch’s Jewish family members who are not yet saved.

John and Gail Morris
John’s Acts One Eight ministry role is
the establishment and equipping of an
online community of disciples. He is
also focused on actively promoting an
accurate and complete understanding
of the Great Commission. This goal
is accomplished through modeling,
teaching, writing and evangelizing in
person and online. Pray for continued
good health and energy to carry on
the ministry. Pray also for clarity and
