The time when students take assessments to demonstrate how much they know and how much they have learned this school year. Teachers have worked diligently to ensure that all students are ready for these tests, and the students are aware that it is important to do their best during testing. The accomplishments, which will be reflected in the test results, belong to the students, teachers, and parents. It is important that your child be in school and on time each day of the testing sessions. If your child is a car rider or walker, please have them at school before 7:45 a.m. so they can have breakfast. It is important that your child has a good night's rest so that they can do their best during testing.. As parents you have played an important role in your child's academic success. Our Brooker staff want to thank you for the time that you have spent checking homework, reading with your child, and visiting the school to talk with teachers, is evidence of your support. The first graders sang about the many reasons and ways to love on this day and every day. Thank you to all the parents and family members who attended the program. We greatly appreciated the help cleaning up and returning the chairs to the classrooms. Discipline Information 6:00 – 8:00 PM Meeting at Bloomingdale High School Spring Pictures Spring Break Students return to school Dining with Dads End of the third grading period Spring Fling ►DISCIPLINE INFORMATION MEETING A discipline Information meeting will be held at Bloomingdale High School for all schools in the area on Wednesday, February 25th at 6:00 PM. District personnel will review discipline data for the district and then breakout sessions are scheduled for schools to review their specific data. ►SECOND GRADE CURRICULUM NIGHT The second grade teachers held a curriculum night on February 10th. The teachers discussed the changes in curriculum due to the implementation of the new Florida State Standards. Teachers also shared ways parents can help their child prepare for third grade. Thank you to all the parents who participated in this wonderful evening. ►SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL The School Advisory Council met on Thursday, February 19th in the media center. At this meeting the committee approved the SAC budget, reviewed discipline data, and learned more about the Florida Standards Assessment.
