Panel Quilt
From the Orange Bats (H), cut:
• (6) 4 ½” x WOF strips, piece the strips together to make (2) 4 ½” x 58 ½” strips and (2) 4 ½” x 50 ½” strips.
From the Black Ghosts (Backing), cut:
(2) 66” x WOF strips, piece the strips together and
trim to make one 66” x 66” backing piece.
Sewing Instructions
1.
Center one 3 ½” x 26” Fabric B strip on each
side of the 20 ½” Fabric A panel and sew in place
(Fig. 1).
Cutting instructions
Please note: all strips are cut across the width of
fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge.
From the Jeepers Panel (A), cut:
• (1) large panel, approximately 20 ½” x 20 ½”
• (4) small panels approximately 8 ½” x 10”
From the Gray Circles (B), cut:
• (4) 3 ½” x 26” strips
• (16) 3 ½” x 14” strips

Trim the Fabric B strip even with the top and
bottom of the Fabric A panel. Center one 3 ½” x 26”
Fabric B strip to the top and bottom of the Fabric A
panel and sew in place (Fig. 2). Refer to Figure 3 to
trim the block to measure 24 ½” x 24 ½” square with
the Fabric A panel centered in the middle to make the
center block (Fig. 4).
From the Orange Pindot (C), cut:
• (8) 1 ½” x 24 ½” strips
From the Gray Ghosts (D), cut:
• (4) 4 ½” x 24 ½” strips
From the Lime Spiders (E), cut:
• (4) 2 ½” x 24 ½” strips
From the Black Pumpkins (F), cut:
• (4) 4 ½” x 24 ½” strips
From the Black Pindot (G), cut:
• (6) 1 ½” x WOF strips, piece the strips together to
make (2) 1 ½” x 50 ½” strips and
(2) 1 ½” x 48 ½” strips
• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 with four 3 ½” x 14”
Fabric B strips and one 8 ½” x 10” Fabric A panel.
Trim the block to measure 12 ½” x 12 ½” square to
make one corner block (Fig. 5). Repeat to make four
corner blocks total.

Sew one 12 ½” corner block to each side
of one strip border to make the top row (Fig. 8).
Repeat to make the bottom row.

Sew one 4 ½” x 24 ½” Fabric F strip to the
top of one 2 ½” x 24 ½” Fabric E strip. Sew one 4 ½”
x 24 ½” Fabric D strip to the bottom of the Fabric E
strip.
Sew one 1 ½” x 24 ½” Fabric C strip to the

top and bottom of the sewn strips to make one strip
border (Fig. 6). Repeat to make four strip borders
total.

Sew the top and bottom rows to the middle
row to make the 48 ½’ x 48 ½” quilt top.
Refer to Figure 9 while sewing the borders to the
quilt top.

Sew one strip border to each side of the of the
center block to make the middle row (Fig. 7)

Sew one 1 ½” x 48 ½” Fabric G strip to each
side of the quilt top. Sew one 1 ½” x 50 ½” Fabric
G strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.
10.
Sew one 4 ½” x 50 ½” Fabric H strip to each
side of the quilt top. Sew one 4 ½” x 58 ½” Fabric
H strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.
11.
Layer and quilt as desired.
12.
Sew the six 2 1/2” x 42” Fabric G strips
together end-to-end with 45º seams to make the
binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with
wrong sides together and press.
13.
Bind as desired.
