It is now time to start preparing your nominations. There must be at least one
company or Troop/Crew or team in every State which is carrying out a successful need
based Community Development or Community Service Project. This prestigious National
Award is meant to encourage and motivate Scouts & Guides to render Yeoman Service to
the development of communitY,
The Lakshmi l4azumdar award must be a spontaneous and sustained effort with no
exceptions of recognitjon.

PRESENTATION OF ENTRY:.
Nomination may be made by the District chief Commissioner through the State
Chief Commissioner and be sent to the National Headquarters'
Nomination may be made on the attached from (Appendjx-2) If the Space is not
sufficient for the full description of the project, please give details on a separate sheet,
which may be attached to Appendix-2. Supporting recommendation from the responsible
persons both within and outside the l\4ovement must be sent with the entries Only oNE

from each section of both the wings separately.i.e' Scout, Guide and Rover/
Ranjer must reach National Headquarters before 31"t July every year'
LOG BOOK:-

THE LAKSHMI MAZUMDAR AWARD WILL BE IN THE FORM OF:-

A certificate will be oresented to the each winning Group/Unit.

Announcement of the winner wiLl be made in November each year and certificates will
be presented in the National Council N4eeting.
Unit L€aders and participants of the winning unlts will get the certiiicate signed by the
Chief National Commissioner of the Association ior the Lakshmi lvlazumdar Award in
tribute to the outstanding service rendered to the community by the Group.
