Bucyrus Little Theatre is pleased to present
Considered an American classic, Of Mice and Men is a novella written
by Nobel Prize–winning author John Steinbeck and published in 1937.
George and Lennie, two migrant field workers, have just arrived at a
ranch and hope to one day attain their shared dream of settling down
on their own piece of land during the Great Depression. Lennie is a man
of large stature and great strength but limited mental abilities. He has
an obsession with things soft and cuddly that has made George cautious
about who the gentle giant associates with. His promise to allow Lennie
to "tend to the rabbits" on their future land keeps Lennie calm amidst
distractions. But when a tragedy occurs, George knows that Lennie,
albeit accidentally, is involved. Realizing they can't run away anymore,
George is faced with a tough moral question.
Directed by Scott Painter, our final show of the regular season will be
staged on May 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. with matinee performances
on May 10 and 17 at 2:30 p.m. This play is recommended for adult
audiences due to strong language and adult themes. Adult guest
tickets are $15 and student guest tickets are $10.

A Note From the Box Office
The Box Office is open Monday through Thursday evenings between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. two
weeks ahead of Opening Night. At all other times reservation requests may be left on the
theatre answering machine (419.562.0731). Please remember: all tickets must be paid 24 hours
in advance of the show date for which reservations are made. Payment options include: Visa,
Mastercard and Discover, personal checks or cash. We appreciate your understanding — your
cooperation lends to a more effective “performance” in the Box Office for our guests.
The Bill Usher Fine Arts Memorial Scholarship
Each year, the Bucyrus Little Theatre presents a scholarship to a high school senior who
will be continuing his or her education in music, theatre, art or creative writing.
This scholarship honors Bill Usher, an esteemed colleague, mentor and friend. This
year the scholarship was open to all Crawford County high school seniors who
met the scholarship’s criteria.
Anyone interested in contributing to the Bill Usher Scholarship fund may do so by
making your donation payable to the Bill Usher Memorial Scholarship, care of the

The BLT’s 2015/2016 season will be announced at the opening of our last show of this season—

Intermission
Packaged snacks will be available to purchase at each show for the convenience of our guests.
Bottled water and assorted candy bars will be available for $1, while coffee and all other snacks
will be available for 50 cents each. All concession proceeds benefit our Capital Building Campaign
and are used for theatre improvements. During shows with no intermission, snacks will be
available before show time. We do appreciate any donation of items in individual sized portions.

Coming to the BLT stage: Children’s Production of The Wizard of Oz
Auditions will be held Saturday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the
BLT ,130 Songer Ave, Bucyrus. This children’s production is for students ages 7-18 and will
take the stage June 25, 26, 27, 28, 2015 and is not a part of our regular season.
Those who wish to audition should be prepared to sing no more than a 90 second song of your
choice. Please: no CDs, iPods or tapes -- an accompanist will be provided. Be sure to wear soft
shoes (no flip flops), as we will be learning a dance number.
