help you decide exactly what you need from
your new cowboy hat. Then we get to work

that folks find our shop to be much more
than they expected. They not only find
our custom creations but also name brand
cowboy hats and many other functional hat
styles for those who haven’t quite caught the
urge to “Cowboy Up.”
But of course the heart of our business is the
custom-made felt cowboy hat. And with
thousands of satisfied customers spanning
years of dedicated experience, we think we
build ‘em better than anybody.

see the hat you’re looking for or you’re looking for another brand or style
from another company, we can probably special order it for you.
Many times picking out the hat is easy. But selecting the hatband can be
challenging because there are so many beautiful options. To help you choose
we have shown some of the most popular hatbands on the hats in this catalog.
Your imagination is the only limit when it comes to what is possible for us to

Just let us know which page and hat, give us your hat size and we will
build it for you.
Designing your own:
1. Select a Color: black, charcoal grey, granite, silver belly, bone, camel, tan, pecan, whiskey, brown, rust, red, dark moss, willow,
forest green, royal blue, navy, purple, gold, white, pink, orange, and natural (100% beaver only).
2. Select a Quality: a) 10X beaver/rabbit fur blend;
b) 100% beaver fur; c) Specialty body; color, quality, blocking
We offer special blocking options, colors and finishes that may be seen
in this catalog. The options are too many to list so we recommend you

3. Select a Style: Choose from a style shown in this catalog, or
send us a picture of a stlye you want built and we can work with
you. Our most popular creases are the Hondo, Gus, Stampede and
Cattleman.
a. The brim shape can vary upon request for more dip or curl
in order to suit your look.
b. Choose a brim width – The most common is 4” and can be
shortened in 1/8”increments.
c. Oversized brims are 5”, 4 ½” and 4 1/4”; add $25
d. Crown Heights are LOW or TALL–
LOW 5¾” with up to 4” brim as a standard – most popular
TALL 6½” with an Oversized brim, with 5” as standard
These are open crown heights before they are shaped.
Hat Size: Measure your head just above the ears and across your
forehead, to get an inch measurement for your hat size. Convert inches
to hat sizes using our chart below. If you measure inbetween a size let
us know. It’s very common and we can build your hat to accommodate
your head.

Hatbands: All our custom made felt hats come with a standard
2-ply ribbon at no charge.
We offer a wide variety of hatbands to suit most any hat. All hatbands
are an additional charge and will be individually priced. We sew our
hatbands on the hat before they ship unless other wise specified.

• Typically, a Low crown (5¾”)
uses up to a 4” brim.
• A Tall crown (6½”) uses up to a 5” brim.
• Low crown and 4” brim is the most common.
• Brims can be any width in 1/8” increments.

1. Double Loop styles require holes in the brim to
wrap around the crown, creating a hatband. This
is a permanent string that holds up under heavy use.
2. Cotter Pin styles are easy on and off with pins
that can tear sweatband stitches under heavy
use. Good option for those who need strings on
occasion and want to take them off the hat for
other uses.

To remove dust and dirt, use a horsehair brush ($8) or use the brush
attachment on your vacuum cleaner. • Hat sponges ($2) may be used to
remove large chunks of dirt once they are dry. • Hat stiffener ($8) may be
needed after lots of wear and weather. Be sure to clean your hat before
applying. • Hat protector spray ($6.50) will help water proof your hat;
however it also seals so it may not be able to be cleaned in the future.
• Hat retainers ($22 fits up to size 73/8) are available for maintaining
the size of your hat when you are not wearing it.
• Hat covers ($8) for those long pack trips.
• Hat suitcases protect your hat
from all kinds of possible damage
and make it easy when you
travel. Suitcases come in

Always place your hat upside down on it’s crown so
that it can catch all the good luck. This helps preserve
it’s brim shape.
To remove dust and dirt, use a horsehair brush or use
the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner.
We clean and do renovations on our hats. Contact
us directly and we will be happy to quote you a price
on having your old friend cleaned up and put back

Custom made hats can be exchanged for size and
if we cannot get the hat to fit you properly we will:
a) do store credit for the amount of the hat minus

minus a 15% re-stocking fee and shipping charges.

is two styles: 1. Double loop styles require holes in
the brim to wrap around the crown which make a
hatband. This is a permanent string that holds up
under heavy use; 2. Cotter pin styles are easy on
and off with pins that can tear sweatband stitches
under heavy use. Good option for those who need
strings on occasion and want to take them off the
hat for other uses.
