RE: 2015 Chuckwagon Advertiser Hosting Area Liquor Service
Heading back to the Chuckwagon Barns for a pre or post-race drink with clients, colleagues
and special guests is an enjoyable and very special Stampede tradition. In accordance with
Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission (ALGC) Regulations, we are creating an enhanced
liquor service that provides all Chuckwagon Advertisers with hassle-free hosting.
This year we are excited to offer two liquor service options to Chuckwagon Advertisers in
the Chuckwagon Advertisers Hosting Area. The following options were designed to ensure
you are focused on hosting and toasting and not stocking and pouring:
1. Chuckwagon Bar Service – New for all Advertisers for 2015
As part of this special offering we are creating high capacity bars in the hosting zone
to service the needs of all Chuckwagon Advertisers and their clients, colleagues and
special guests. We will also have circulating servers in the hosting area providing on
the spot beverage service so your guests never have to move.
Your guests will be able to enjoy themselves as part of your Stampede tradition,
while they quench their thirst with a cold beer or other beverage delivered by a
Stampede bartender or server. As a Chuckwagon Advertiser, you will have the
opportunity to order customized beverage tickets in advance. These tickets will
include your company or organization name and will be dated and delivered to the
hosting representative at the start of your event each day.
2. Private Bar Service – (Optional)
This service provides a dedicated bar and bartender in your hosting area for you and
your guests. You will have the option to customize your private bar’s liquor menu
beyond the selection being offered at the main bars.
As always, the Calgary Stampede catering department is pleased to provide food service for
your guests, offering a number of unique western buffets. Together the Calgary Stampede
catering and the new new liquor service makes organizing your hosting even easier and
allows you more time to spend with your clients, colleagues and special guests.

Chuckwagon Bar Service - New for all Advertisers for 2015
We have worked hard to ensure compliance with the ALGC while creating a turnkey service
for you, our Chuckwagon Advertiser. You will not need to lift a finger as we take on the
responsibility of delivering cold beer and other beverages to the Chuckwagon Advertisers
Hosting Area.
Main bars will be strategically placed throughout the general Chuckwagon Advertisers
Hosting Area and will be staffed with trained Calgary Stampede bartenders. Bars will
provide cold beer and a selection of other alcoholic beverages while a team of servers
circulates throughout the hosting area with trays of cold beer and select alcoholic
beverages.
Tickets will be required for payment or redemption – no cash sales are permitted or
required.

The following questions and answers have been prepared to assist you in the Chuckwagon
Advertiser Hosting Area liquor service transition.
As a Chuckwagon Advertiser, how do I order beverage tickets for my guests?
Chuckwagon Advertisers will order beverage tickets in advance. These tickets will be
customized with your company or organization name and will be dated and delivered to the
hosting representative at the start of your event each day. You will be able to provide your
special guests with however many tickets you wish to give them. You will be billed on the
actual number of tickets redeemed, not on how many you order in advance. Tickets are only
redeemable in the Chuckwagon Advertisers Hosting area. Ticket order forms will be included
in the Buyers Guide to all successful advertisers and registered sub-advertisers.
Do I still have a private hosting area for my guests, if I choose to use the Main Bar Service?
Absolutely! Your guests will be able to enjoy your dedicated hosting area as they have in
the past. The difference is how liquor service is provided.
Will non-alcoholic beverages be available?
Yes! Non-alcoholic beverages such as soft-drinks and bottled water will be available.
Do I need to hire my own bartender who is ProServe trained?
Starting in 2015, you will no longer need to hire a bartender as the Calgary Stampede will
take on this responsibility.
Do I need to arrange my own liquor?
In order to comply with ALGC, starting in 2015 all liquor purchases and service must be
handled by the Calgary Stampede.

Private Bar Service – (Optional)
Want to really impress your special guests? The Private Bar Service option comes with
additional VIP service and selection. You have the option to arrange for private bar service
with a dedicated Calgary Stampede bartender inside your hosting area to serve your guests
exclusively. This service can be arranged on a per evening basis.
With this option, you can also choose to add additional items to the liquor menu over and
above those already being served in the hosting area. Our special arrangements means the
pricing below is specific to the Chuckwagon Advertisers Hosting Area.

The Private Bar Service, including personalized liquor selection, hosting bar and trained
bartender exclusive to your tent for the hours of 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. 11:00 p.m. This premium service is $300 nightly plus GST.
The Private Bar Service is billed on consumption at the bar for your guests. Arrangements
can either be through special customized tickets or special service wristbands that you
present your guests. The special tickets or special service wristbands are only redeemable
at your private bar.
In order to meet your beverage service requirements, Private Bar Service requests need to
