Herringbone Rib Scarf in Estelle Sakura Designed by Kate Atherley for Estelle Yarns Difficulty Level Easy Finished measurements: 7.5 inches wide, approx 60 inches long, after blocking Materials: 1 skein (about 100 grams) Estelle Yarns “Sakura” 1 pair 5mm straight or circular needles Gauge: 18 sts and 21 rows = 4 inches square in pattern stitch Glossary: S2kpo: Slip 2 sts together as if to k2tog, k1, then pass the slipped stitch over the stitch just knit. Method: Cast on 33 sts. Knit 3 rows. Row 1 (RS): K2, (yo, k3, s2kpo, k3, yo, k1) to last st, k1. Row 2 (WS): K2, p to last 2 sts, k2. Work until scarf measures 59 inches, the length you want, or until you’ve nearly run out of yarn, ending with a Row 1. Knit 3 rows. Cast off loosely.
