From the Principal
Happy Easter!
New Life is what Easter is all about.
We are wishing you a beautiful new
life made possible by the amazing
gift of the Easter story.
Pacelli School's third grade class recently has been
watching eggs hatch in their classroom! What started out
as a simple science project actually turned out to be much
more! Who knew that by hatching eggs, our children
would learn about researching information, telling time, bar
graphs, collecting and recording data, weights and
measurement. They now have 2 cute chicks that they
watched grow from the egg to poking their way out to new
life, similar to the new life we have in Christ. Who knew
that this simple science project would also incorporate
faith, teaching our children the real meaning of Easter.
Enjoy the Easter Break and see you back on April 13th!

EIGHTH GRADE PERFORMANCE OF SEUSSICAL, JR.
Oh, the things we can think! Through the mischievous and imaginative Cat in the Hat, we were
able to stretch our minds and think new thoughts last Thursday evening. A Big Thank You to our
eighth grade performers! In the story, Horton the Elephant tries to protect the Whos and care for
the egg Mayzie left behind. After many adventures, all ends well! Leave it to Dr. Seuss to give us
so many characters that we have come to love. If you would like to read one in a boat or with a
goat, here is a list of books that were used for the performance!

WE MIGHT NOT LIKE GREEN EGGS AND HAM,
BUT WE LOVED PERFORMING SEUSSICAL, JR.
WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU HERE OR THERE,
WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU EVERYWHERE!!
THANKS TO ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN MAKING OUR PERFORMANCE A HUGE
SUCCESS!!
FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE
Wishing all families a joyful Easter and some time to enjoy your children and the outdoors.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
"JUST TRY IT" was a Success!!!
This months "Just Try It" was a success! The kids tried
brownies made with canned pumpkin instead of oil and
eggs. Low in both calories and fat, canned pumpkin is a healthy
substitute for oil and eggs in a variety of baked goods. With a
bright orange color and creamy consistency, canned pumpkin
can be effortlessly added to mixes for cakes, cookies, breads
and brownies. It's also low in sodium and high in fiber and
healthy antioxidants.
Brownie Makeover
1 Box of brownie mix
1 can of pure pumpkin
Mix 1 can of pumpkin with the brownie mix. Expect to add an
extra 10-15 for bake time.
