Tuesday, June 2, 2015 9:00 - 1:00 Juan Sarmiento

Presbytery of Carlisle - 2015 Mission Fair
Tuesday, June 2, 2015 9:00 - 1:00
At the Presbytery Office: 3040 Market St., Camp Hill
Special Guest:
Juan Sarmiento
PC(USA) Evangelism Catalyst
If you are engaged in international mission, don’t miss out on this chance to speak with
Juan Sarmiento. The overarching goal of our work in international missions is to share the
good news of Jesus Christ our Lord with those we encounter and to see the Spirit already in
action as we engage the world. Juan’s work directly supports this goal by connecting U.S.
Presbyterians with global church partners and participating in their own efforts to train local
leaders to share the good news of the gospel as they address the specific challenges they
face in their own community. Challenges such as hunger, natural disaster, injustice or the
persecution of Christians. The church’s vision is to equip their leaders to become agents of
transformation — not with imported, “cookie cutter” solutions, but with training that
enables them to reflect theologically and to lead their community toward local solutions.
9:00 - 9:30 Registration and Set-up --- 12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (optional)
In addition to hearing from Juan, there will be time for each participant to share about one mission in which you’ve
been involved and also display space for any items you’d like to share from that mission. Optional lunch to follow
