What is CPYA? The Cascades Presbytery Youth Assembly is an annual fall retreat that brings high school youth together from all over Oregon and Washington. A team of high school student leaders joined forces with the retreat deans to plan an amazing weekend for you and your friends. CPYA will be held at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center in Turner, Oregon (just south of Salem). Aldersgate is nestled among 38 forested acres full of great amenities, including a beautiful dining hall with delicious food. www.aldersgateretreat.com For one incredible weekend we have the opportunity to explore our faith through worship, small group gatherings, youth group time, and fun activities with friends. It is our hope that you will come away with a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. And don’t forget . . . this weekend is packed with group games, free time to hang out at the coffee shop or ice cream parlor, basketball, slingshot paintball, mini-golf, board games . . . lots of time to hang out with your friends—both new and old. Our Speaker Permission Form Mike Hogan is the Northwest Director of Church Mobilization for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Prior to working with IJM, Mike managed economic relief programs aimed at serving underprivileged populations both in his local community and other areas of the world. He has led trips spanning a wide range of human rights issues, from providing law enforcement training and aftercare for victims of sexual abuse in Huánuco, Peru to HIV and AIDS prevention in Malawi. Previously, Mike served for four years as the InterVarsity Campus Director at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
