THIS WEEK Last week’s collection was £982, thank you. The collection for Needy Parishes will be taken up at all Masses today after Communion. This collection was established to create a special fund to assist ’financially needy’ parishes. There are already several parishes in the diocese that have accumulated debt and are financially stretched, principally due to the fact that they have only a small number of parishioners and/or are located in deprived areas. Through this collection ‘better off’ parishes can help those less fortunate parishes to have some hope of financial security. Trocaire boxes are available at the three doors. Please take one home. Having successfully ‘trained’ the parishioners of Larne and Glenarm to change the coins in their Trocaire boxes into notes, I now ask you the parishioners of Carnlough to complete the hat-trick and do likewise. So please change the coins in your Trocaire boxes into notes before returning your contributions to the church on Holy Thursday or at your earliest convenience after Easter. If you have not kept the Trocaire envelope that was enclosed in your Trocaire pack, spares are available in the church porches this weekend, or you can use any envelop marked Trocaire. Thank you for your cooperation. Ballymena Adoration Committee, in response to Pope Francis’ request for 24 hours for Jesus during Lent, Continuous Adoration has been organised from 8:00 p.m. on Friday 20th March to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday 21st March in the Adoration room at the back of All Saints Church. The aim of the scheme is to help those most in need. If anyone would like to apply, please fill out a form either at the Carnlough Community Office or the Post Office.
