FYI: Special Events at the Luncheon Club in April
Two sessions of our fall prevention workshop with Columbia University remain, on
April 1 and April 8 at 11 am. Don’t miss them!
Our Short Story Workshop continues this month on Mondays at 10:30 AM.
April 3 – Join us for an Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Applied General Agency.
April 6 – Enjoy our blended Passover and Easter celebration with a Seder plate
and Easter treats.
April 7 – Join Occupational Therapy students from Mercy College for a session on
medication management. Bring an egg carton!
April 14 – Our monthly Senior Advisory Council Meeting begins at 11 AM.
Tuesday, April 14 – Longtime members and new members alike are invited to
our after-lunch social! Enjoy delicious desserts, and make new friends.
April 21 – Our monthly Medicare Rights update begins at 11 AM.
April 24 – The students of Newfane High are here to serenade you before
lunch, beginning at 10:30 AM.
April 30 – Join us for our monthly birthday party!
Special Event: Friday, April 17: It’s participatory budget voting time!
From 11 AM to 3 PM, representatives from Councilmember Ben Kallos will
be at the center, and they’re asking for your help in voting on the budget. Let
the Councilmember know what you’d like to see funded in our community!

The Carter Burden Center’s mission is to promote the well being of seniors 60 and
older through a continuum of services, advocacy and volunteer programs oriented to
individual, family and community needs. Here at the Covello center, our goal is to provide our members with meals, activities and classes in a wide range of subjects. Welcome to all of our members and guests!

Our Cultural Connections Program provides people over 60 with
opportunities to participate in the cultural & artistic life of the city
& beyond. We offer a diverse program of collective experiences
throughout the year at deeply discounted prices. Enjoy Concerts,
Broadway and Off Broadway Theater, Museum Tours and Day
Trips to Historic Homes. Our offerings at Lincoln Center include
Ballet, Opera and the Meet the Artists Program – the backbone of
traditional American culture. All of our events are specifically designed for our participants.
