AP STATISTICS Due Monday, August 31, 2015 by email I. Think of four colleges or universities that you are considering attending after you graduate. II. Create a 5slide Powerpoint presentation. A. The first slide will introduce yourself to the class. Put whatever you want us to know about you. Include a picture of yourself. Keep everything appropriate. B. Each of the four remaining slides will be dedicated to the four colleges you are considering attending after you graduate. One slide per college/university. Each slide will contain the following information: 1. A graphic of the college/university. 2. The name of the college/university. This can be omitted if the graphic contains the name of the university. 3. Average GPA for the college/university. (If this is given as a range, include the range. See the Penn State example.) 4. SAT scores for the 25th & 75th percentile broken up in the following categories. (If this breakdown is unavailable, simply do not include it. See the Penn State example.) a. Critical Reading b. Math c. Writing 5. ACT scores for the 25th & 75th percentile broken up in the following categories. (If this breakdown is unavailable, simply do not include it. See the Penn State example.) a. Composite b. English c. Math 6. The source you used for the information. (Please note that NONE of the examples has this information; however, you MUST include it.) C. Although all of the examples are black and white, the use of color is greatly encouraged. III. Your completed Powerpoint must be emailed to [email protected] by 11:59 PM Monday, August 31. A deduction of 1/144 will be made for each minute the project is late. All penalties will be rounded UP to the nearest whole number. (If you are 5 minutes late, you lose 1 whole point despite the fact that 5/144 equals 0.03). IV. You will present your Powerpoint to the class on during the week of September 7. Be ready to present on Tuesday, September 8. The order of presentations will be chosen at random.
