The whole building of Bornato Castle has been perfectly kept till the present days and now interprets the contemporary wine and culture spirit of Franciacorta in the best way. The land terraces placed under the southern walls are tilled
with wine rows grown according to the most modern theories of organic farming.
In the ancient cellars located under the main tower of the castle, for 700 years the wine labelled Castello di Bornato
has been produced until the early 2000. In the underground area, oak barrels over 50 years old for red wine are still
in place. In the other part of the cellar 8 barrels glass blocks have been used up to the 70s for white wine and a small
barrel of cement for red wine.
Luisa Orlando, one of the first women of the wine of Franciacorta, runs for 30 years the farm of the Castle with a
meticulous attention to detail, updated with the needs dictated by the passing of time.
The cultivation of vines has converted to organic farming in 2006 with longlasting vision and spirit following
new business practices in the agricultural. The result is the production of an excellent wine certificated according to
the specification of organic viticulture.
Produced in small quantities of excellent quality and bottled only in the best vintages, the wine can be tasted and
bought at the premises.

It is made from grapes of prestigious vineyards
of French origin (Chardonnay and Pinot).

the bottles are r otated for 24 months.
