Who is this extra priest living at St. Mary’s? Fr. Leo
C. Kinney is a priest of the Diocese of Fargo, ordained
June 6, 1992. He was first assigned as parochial vicar at

SVdP News
The St. Vincent de Paul Conference here at St.
Mary’s Cathedral continues to stay busy. Our food
pantry here at St. Mary’s feeds approximately 10
families each month, and we work with approximately 5-10 families/individuals every week who contact
us for assistance. Since the beginning of 2015, we
fed 25 families and individuals from our pantry and
provided over $4,500 in financial assistance including
energy assistance, dental bills, food, security deposits,
and rent to over a dozen different parishioners and/
or clients within our boundaries. We also donated
food and volunteer time toward the Sheltering
Churches project. A heartfelt thank you for your
generous contributions to our Charity Fund! Also,
the food baskets in the St. Joseph’s entrance are getting filled regularly . . . Thank you!! The food is getting used! Please remember to bring in nonperishable items. We mostly need: cans of Vienna

W ELCOME TO A LL V ISITORS
Bishop John Folda and the faithful of Fargo welcome you to the Cathedral of St. Mary. The word
‘cathedral’ originates from a Latin word, cathedra, meaning seat. The Cathedral Church serves as the
seat of the Bishop in a particular Diocese. All visitors who are not of the Roman Catholic faith are
welcome to join us in prayer but to refrain from receiving Holy Communion. Reception of Holy
Communion is a sign of unity of faith and full membership in the Catholic Church.
Together let us pray for the eventual unity of all believers.

Even if you can’t join us in person,
you can experience the Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral!
