SOCIAL JUSTICE NEWS
WE BOUGHT 40 GOATS:
In support of Free the Children’s Year of Empowerment,
our school generously raised $2000.00 in February to
purchase 40 goats for families in Rognena, Kenya. This
community has the largest scale of operations for goats
and alternative income right now, and has recently formed
a new women’s group called ‘Chebitet’ who will benefit
from these goats. To learn more about Rognena, here is

Our girls played in the Simcoe County Championships at
Eastview Secondary School. Our intermediate team had a
very exciting finish to their season. Our girls finished
second in their pool and advanced to the quarterfinals. This
put our girls into the medal round of the tournament. In
the most exciting match of their season, our girls gave WR
Best their most competitive game of the day. Our girls
pushed hard and came up just short of reaching the finals.
Our girls went into the Bronze Medal match with a great
deal of confidence and enthusiasm and brought home the
third place banner. We look forward to a great season next
year and we will miss Kaitlynn French, Emily DaSilva,
Maddy Stimac, and Maisie Layoen. Thank you for your
dedication ladies!
A SAFETY REMINDER
Please help us to enforce that students are to use the back
entrances of the school during arrival and dismissal times.
Students should not be using the front center doors of the
school.
Please help us to keep all of our students safe by using the
crosswalks and following the directions of the street
patrollers during arrival and dismissal times.
A reminder that the entrance to the school parking lot is off
of Summerset Drive and the exit is on Hawkins Drive.
Following this system of entering and exiting our parking
lot is critical to keeping our children safe.
