GENERAL REGISTRATION 1. No band or individual will be allowed to participate in the Batabano Adult Parade without formal registration with the Cayman Carnival Batabano (“CCB”) organization. All bands must register using the CCB Registration Form and pay the appropriate registration fee by the deadline date - Tuesday 31 March, 2015.Band leaders or their representatives must also sign the CCB Agreement Form to be fully registered. 2. Costumes formerly used in the Batabano Adult Parade may be used again, but are not eligible for judging. 3. Please note that following Cayman Carnival Batabano Adult Parade 2015, only a t – shirt section that is part of a larger costumed band may participate in future parades. In the interest of enhancing the parade, t –shirt only bands will be discontinued. 4. Kings, queens and individuals must be registered in order to be judged. In the event that there are less than three (3) registrations in each category, no judging will occur. 5. The different categories for the size of bands are as follows: Small (less than 150) Medium (151 to 350) Large (more than 350) Business (lawfully registered company) B. VEHICLE REGISTRATION 1. The vehicle registration number of all vehicles that will be used by the bands in the parade must be given to the CCB Committee by Thursday 23 April, 2015.Only non-alcoholic branded vehicles are permitted to take part in the Parade. 2. Each of these vehicles will be given an official Batabano permit which must be clearly displayed during the parade. 3. The number and kinds of vehicle permitted with a registered band are as follows: Small band …………... 2 refreshment trucks and 1 music truck Medium band …………… 2 refreshment trucks and 2 music trucks Large band …………… 2 refreshment trucks and 2 music trucks Business band …………… 2 refreshment trucks and 2 music trucks 4. It is the responsibility of all band leaders to ensure that the vehicles being used in the parade are properly licensed and the drivers of these vehicles are themselves duly licensed. C. SPONSORS AND LOGOS 1. Sponsors’ names/logos can be displayed on t –shirts, registered vehicles, banners and placards of any size. 2. Sponsors’ names/logos associated with alcohol beverages, alcohol products or suppliers of alcohol are restricted to a size no larger than 18 sq. ft. 3. Feather flags displaying sponsors’ names/logos, associated with alcohol beverages, alcohol products or suppliers of alcohol can be no larger than 10 ft. by 2 ft. 4. No band is allowed to display any signs/logos associated with political affiliations within the parade. D. MARSHALLS 1. All registered bands are required to have a Head Marshall and other marshalls. The role of the marshall is to assist with the control of their band, ensuring that the parade rules are not violated. The minimum number of marshalls required are as follows: Small band ………………..1 Head marshall and 4 other marshalls Medium band …………. 1 Head marshall and 6 other marshalls Large band ……………… 1 Head marshall and 10 other marshall 2. All band marshalls must wear a t-shirt that identifies them as such. 3. There is a Mandatory meeting that all Head marshallsmust attend on Thursday 26 April at the Sky Lounge at 7:00pm. E. PARADE LINE UP 1. The parade line up will be determined at a Mandatory briefing for band leaders/representatives/head marshalls to be held at the Sky Lounge on Thursday 26 March, 2015 at 7:00pm. 2. All registered parade vehicles must be assembled at the starting point of the parade by 12 noonon the day of the parade for a 1 pm start. Vehicles arriving after this time may lose their position and will be placed at the rear of the parade or not be allowed to participate at all. 3. All bands are required to have a main banner at the head of the band that clearly identifies their group. Banners are also required for the different band sections. F. PARADE RULES and CONDUCT 1. All masqueraders must be 18 years and over in order to participate in the Adult parade. It is the responsibility of the band leader/Head Marshall to ensure that no persons under the age of 18 years are participating in the Adult Parade. 2. Mud or paint “mas”, and the spraying of any form of liquid on spectators is not allowed. Anyone in violation of this rule will be requested to leave the band by a marshall or the police. 3. Public defacement of property, example graffiti, paint, mud is strictly forbidden. Anyone in violation of this rule will be requested to leave the band by a marshall or the police. 4. The public display of alcohol will not be tolerated. Band leaders/marshalls are to ensure that cups, bottles etc are provided. Individuals in violation of this rule will be requested to leave the band by any marshall or police. 5. Band members are required to refrain from improper conduct and public indecency. 6. For the general safety of masqueraders and spectators, band leaders and masqueraders must comply with any instructions given by official marshalls or the police. 7. The RCIP is the final authority and have the right to remove/arrest anyone in violation of the above rules. NB. The CCB Committee reserves the right to deduct points or disqualify any band if any of its members violate any of the above rules. G.
