This Sunday is another connection service. Jonathan will
be bringing the message. Connection services allow us to
get the whole family together for worship and enjoy the
common experience of gathering in the name of our Lord.
We always have guests and new members with us so, take
a moment to fellowship and get acquainted during the
welcome time.
Memorial Day is also a time to remember those who have
given their all for our country. Freedom is never free and
has come to us at a great price. This Sunday is also a time
we remember our members who have gone to be with the
Lord. They have a new home and a new life. We honor
them this Lord’s Day.

UPCOMING EVENTS
CSM Mission Trip Fundraiser
Church Office Closed
Your participation in the CSM mission trip fundraiser has been
overwhelming! Thank you for your prayers and giving! If you
have not had a chance to participate, there are still envelopes left.
The intent is for you to take an envelope, keep the prayer card
located inside, put in the dollar amount of the number written on
the envelope, and return it to the Church Office. All contributions
received go to support the CSM mission trip. Please turn in all
envelopes by Sunday, June 7.

We praise the Lord that Theresa is beginning to show signs of
improvement. We are still depending on your prayers and cannot
begin to tell you what they mean to us. Your expression of His

We hope you will join us for Wednesday night supper! Our
summer menu will begin Wednesday, May 27. It will feature
the following entrees:
Week 1: Taco Salad
Week 2: BBQ Pork Sandwiches
Week 3: Southern Fried Chicken
Week 4: Penne Pasta
Week 5: Burger Bar.
All menus include sides, salad bar (except taco salad), and
dessert. The cost is $7 for adults and $2 for children (12 and
under) with a $15 max per family.

The Church Office will be closed for Memorial Day on May 25.
Mission Trip Opportunities
This summer we will be sending teams to Helena, AR (July 1216) and to the Dominican Republic (August 9-14). To learn more
about either of these opportunities, contact Jonathan (Jonathan@
cbclr.org). And, if you are making plans to go to Helena, please
join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 27, at 6:00
pm in the Hospitality Room.
Pray First
Our next Monday night prayer meeting hosted by our Pray First
ministry will be on April 1, at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. We hope
to see you there!
Wacky Wednesdays
The Children’s Ministry has planned very exciting events for this
year’s Wacky Wednesdays! Be sure to mark your calendar for the
following dates:
June 10: Big Rock Fun Park
June 17: Bowling and Splash Park downtown.
To participate, please sign-up with Julie ([email protected]) by the
Sunday before. For Ages: 1st-6th graders. Time: 9:30 am-3:30 pm.
Cost: $10 each.
Vacation Bible School
Calvary will host VBS the week of July 27-30, from 5:45-8:00 pm.
The kick-off party will be Sunday, July 26, from 4:00-6:00 pm. If
you can volunteer, as we lead our children on a “Journey Off the
Map”, then make plans to attend training on June 14, immediately
following worship. To get involved, please email Julie.
Kids Camp
Kids Camp is designed specifically for those who have completed
1st-5th grade. Dates: June 22-25. Location: Wynne, AR. Cost: $75.
