Knob Creek named world’s best bourbon

Coca-Cola Amatil’s Alcohol and Coffee portfolio has received further recognition, with Knob
Creek winning the global accolade of Best Bourbon (overall) at the prestigious San Francisco
World Spirits awards earlier this month.
Owned by Beam Suntory, the world’s third largest premium sprits company and distributed in
Australia exclusively by CCA, Knob Creek out-rated 95 other bourbons to earn a Double Gold
medal and be named Best Bourbon by the expert judging panel as part of the internationallyrenowned spirits competition.
Also recognized were two other brands from CCA’s comprehensive spirits portfolio, with Jim
Beam (Devil's Cut and Distiller's Masterpiece Bourbon, both Double Gold medal winners) and
Laphroaig (25 Years Old Scotch Whisky, Gold Medal winner) awarded in the blind tasting
competitions.
The award is further recognition of the strength of CCA’s extensive brand portfolio, and
comes just weeks after its Grinders coffee brand earned five top awards, including Champion
Espresso, at the Sydney Royal Summer Fine Food Show. Last month, Pressman’s Cider was
the only Australian cider brand to medal at the International Cider Awards, with Original and
Mid both picking silverware.
