Kits are available for both quilts.
Confetti Horse: (Includes pattern) $ 117.00
Paisley Bear: (Includes pattern) $80.00
Each kit has fabrics for background, borders, and voile
foundation as well as fat quarters of many large scale prints
for the motifs. Kit does not include backing, binding or
Steam a Seam 2.
I will bring Steam a Seam 2 with me.
We will not be sewing in class so you do not need to pack your machine!
I will cover some different quilting options for you in class.
We will be cutting and pasting all day. It is harder than you think, but it
is very fun. You will learn about color and color placement.
I will be there
to help you make sense of your work!!
Supplies to bring:
If you do not purchase the kit you will need to bring:
1 yard of a background fabric if you are doing the horse
¾ yard of background fabric if you are doing the bear
1 yard of cotton voile (any color) for your foundation
The pattern…either Confetti (horse) or Paisley (Bear)
Fat 1/4s and fat 1/8s of lots of different large scale fabrics. Florals and
paisleys work the best, bring things you can fussy cut. The more you bring
the better off you are. Even if you get a kit, bring some of your own stash to
make your quilt “yours”. I’m talking at least 20-25 different fabrics. AND
be open to sharing with your friends. Also bring a few fat quarters that are
tonals, tone on tones that show as solids, colors for these fabrics does not
matter.
Applique pressing sheet….everyone needs one. Let me know if I need to bring
some with me.
