Chocolate Fest
JUDGING
ALL DIVISIONS
Desserts will be judged by a team of regional
judges based on technique, taste, texture,
presentation, and creative use of chocolate.
Each dessert category will receive an award
and recognition, and an overall People’s
Choice will be awarded. All winners will be
announced the evening of the public event
and in the media. All participants have the
possibility to win a trip for two to the Wind
River Casino!
AWARDS/CATEGORIES
Cash awards will be given to the winner of
each category. Entries will be divided into
three categories:
Student Category
Adult Category— Over 18
Professional Category
People’s Choice—voted on by the public
ENTRY GUIDELINES

Each entry is required to have a minimum of
150 bite sized samples to be included in the
judging and sampling for public.

Due to potential harms of allergens, we
require a list of all ingredients used in
all products entered.
We regret that we cannot accept
any desserts that contain any
unpasteurized products
A delicious and delightful way to support Carbon County
Economic Development Corporation’s fund-raiser, the Chocolate Fest offers fun for everyone, whether you choose to be a
contestant or simply a taster. These fantastic chocolate treats
will be brought to you by amateur and professional chefs from
throughout the area and available for sampling. Please join us
for a decadent evening of chocolate to support Carbon County
Economic Development Corporation!
All entries to be judged should be brought to CCHEC—1650
Harshman between 4-5 pm. Judging will begin at 5:15 PM.
Winners will be announced during the public event at 7:00
PM. All entrants will receive one free ticket to attend the
public event and chance to win one night at Wind River
Hotel and Casino!
TICKETS FOR THE EVENING EVENT IS:
$20 per ticket for public tasting available at the door or in
advance at the following locations:

Please return the attached entry form, one per dessert,
by the deadline.
Entries/Samples: Prepare a minimum of 150 bite-sized
samples (Please label all dishes and pick them up at the
end of the event or at the CCEDC office on Monday,
March 30th.)
List of Ingredients: A list of ingredients must accompany
all entry forms for judges and public review.
Dessert Drop Off :

Saturday, March 28 at the new CCHEC building,
1650 Harshman between 4:00—5:00 PM.

Judging will begin at 5:15 PM. Tables with your
dessert will be set up for the public to sample beginning at 6:00 PM.

We request chefs to be present to hand out samples, if not, please contact the CCEDC office so we
can find a volunteer.

Award.

Additional tickets can be purchased from the CCEDC office, Bank of Commerce,
Rawlins National Bank or from any CCEDC Board member

All Entries must have an attached list of ingredients for review.
Winners and participants will also be announced in the
public media the next week.
