You can now learn the license law as it pertains to commercial real estate. After taking this class students will be able to understand the contents of a commercial listing agreement for either a lease or purchase; to understand the purpose of a letter of intent and confidentiality agreements; to understand the contents of an industry-standard purchase contract for either a lease or purchase; to understand why there is not an industry-standard commercial lease form; to understand and apply compensation contract concerns in daily practice; to understand the disclosure requirements in a commercial transaction and to appreciate and apply general concerns in a commercial real estate transaction that do not occur in residential transactions, such as: ADA concerns, commercial tax concerns, long term agreements, assignments, the role of an attorney in a commercial transaction and the varied tools utilized by commercial practitioners, income/expense reports, rent tolls and sub leases. Instructor Patti brings to the table many years of brokerage experience in both commercial and residential. She is licensed in both Florida and Georgia and has sold several large acreage tracts in the Georgia Plantation Country. Her commercial experience also includes office buildings and multi-family. She has successfully completed all course work toward her CCIM designation and if she can sell another big ol chunk of land she will complete her experience portfolio.
