Approximately 20 ½ “ wide x 72” long
Any soft, hand-washable bulky weight (3.52 oz., 124 yards):
5 skeins
10 ½ or size needed for gauge.
In pattern, 10 stitches = 3 ¾ “
(Cast on 10 sts. Row 1: K3, P3. Row 2: Purl across.
Repeat rows 1 & 2 for 4”. Bind off all sts in purl.
Measure to check gauge. Adjust needle size as needed.)
SHAWL:
Cast on 57 stitches. (For a wider shawl, cast on 63, 69, or 75 stitches.) The number of

Rows 1 – 6:
Purl across.
Pattern is created by Rows 7 & 8. Repeat these two rows until the shawl measures
approsimately 70 ½ “ from the cast on edge, ending with Row 7:
Row 7 (right side):
Row 8:
P3, (K3, P3) across.
Purl across.
Final 6 rows:
Purl across.
Bind off all sts in purl.
