Dear Valued Stakeholder,
RE: RETAIL SEMINAR
As part of the Growth Pole Strategy of the Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development, the
Central Growth Pole Executing Agency in partnership with the Economic Development Board will be
hosting a seminar for retailers of the Chaguanas main road on Sunday March 29th 2015.
The Retail and Distribution cluster of central Trinidad has been identified as an area where the potential
for growth and development exists. It is in harnessing this potential that contributions to the
diversification of the Trinidad and Tobago economy can be made. This seminar is a step in that direction.
The overall aim of the retail seminar is to increase the competitiveness of the Retail and Distribution
Cluster. As such, we are seeking to provide the retail business community with information and training
in targeted areas that can move the sector forward. These areas include: Customer Service,
Merchandizing, Business Analytics, Marketing and Advertising and Online Business Platforms.
In light of this, the Economic Development Board wishes to invite the retailers of downtown Chaguanas
(or a store representative where applicable) to a meeting in preparation for the seminar and upcoming
activities. This meeting will be held on Thursday 26 February 2015 at the Chaguanas Borough
Corporation at 5p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the details of the seminar to ensure
an event that is beneficial to you the stakeholder.
We do look forward to partnering with you to improve the retail experience of central Trinidad.
Regards,
