On Tuesday, March 12, the concert band will be participating in the Jr. High Band Festival at Illiana Christian High School in Lansing, IL. Permission slips went home with all concert band members. The band will leave CPCS at 11:50 AM and the concert will start at 7:00 PM. Dinner and a snack will be provided. Band members must dress formally for this performance; black slacks, white long sleeve shirt, and black shoes. As a reminder, it is the responsibility of the parent(s) to pick up your child from Illiana after the concert. There will be NO bus return trip. Indiana Income Tax Reminder – Last year the State of Indiana passed IC 6-3-2-22, which allows Indiana taxpayers to claim a $1,000 income tax deduction per dependent for private school or home school expenses paid in grades K-12. The expenses include tuition, fees, school supplies and other education related items. A deduction is not allowed for a child who is enrolled in school for less than 180 days in a calendar year. Please consult your tax professional for details on how this legislation may impact you.
