Council Goal(s) There is no specific Council Task associated with this effort; it is part of normal workload. It does, however, meet the Council Goal of “Ensure a safe and healthy community.” Background and Analysis California Department of Education (CDE) now requires contractors to complete an annual Program Self-Evaluation (PSE). CDE funds the Subsidy program which helps low-income families pay for child care and the Resource and Referral informs parents with child care options and provides services to child care providers to enhance the quality of child care. Services Responsive to Family Needs The Program Self-Evaluation Cover Page summarizes how Child Care Services meets every measure.
