BEGINNING KNIT/CROCHET --- you choose which you learn knit or crochet and
learn the basics! Learn about yarn weights, chain stitch, slip stitch, and single crochet
or if you’re knitting- knit and purl stitch, casting on and more. No previous experience
needed! Materials: 250 yards worsted weight yarn; size H crochet hook or size 8

CROCHET ARIGIRUMI WORKSHOP ---- learn to crochet an animal of your choice in
this 4 hour workshop with lunch included! Using a pattern provided or one of your
choosing, you will start making body parts in the morning session using Amigurumi
technique- sc worked in spiral, increasing, decreasing and invisible decreasing, stuffing
as you go and shaping. In the afternoon you’ll put it all together! Supplies: polyfill

CROCHET SQUARE-O-MONTH ---- expand your techniques and tips this year with a
pro! A new square every month to do with what you will. Use it as a wash cloth, put
them together for a blanket, or just learn the technique so you can transfer the skill to a
sweater! Just bring some scrap worsted weight yarn and an appropriate size hook.

BEGINNING WEAVING --- basic operations of the loom and weaving techniques
along w/project planning. Supplies: all materials provided for sample project. Personal

FOCUS ON BLOCK WEAVE --- learn to design blocks that can be used to design with
more than one structure, create profiles, and understand how to apply them to what
you want to weave. Supplies: bring your loom or use ours for the duration of the 5
week class.

TWO SOCKS-@-TIME! ---- got second sock syndrome? Learn to make two socks at
once on 2 circular needles with two balls of yarn! This 3 part class takes you from cuff
to heel to kitchner stitch toes on two socks simultaneously. Supplies: 220 yards
worsted weight yarn (we used Liberty Wool superwash), and 2 size 4 circular needles.

KNIT FIX --- up at midnight, can’t sleep, and dropped a stitch. Uh-oh! Learn how to
pick up dropped stitches, turn purls into knits, frog, TINK, and other “fixes” to keep you
from continually starting over or waiting till The Knitting Nanny can help. Bring a 4” x 4”
swatch of stockinette stitch still on the needles (use a medium weight yarn and size 8
needles for easier fixing)

CROCHET CROCODILE STITCH FLOWER --- learn crocodile stitch with this cute
square that you can use for the front of a bag, a washcloth or an afghan start. Supplies:
100 yards worsted weight of 3 different colors and an H hook. We used Plymouth

KNIT FELTED BAG --- learn to knit in the round while creating a fun felt bag. It’s a
purse or a knitting bag! Price includes on site felting in our washing machine. We used
600 yards of Cascade 220 Wool and size 11- 24” circular needle. $25 W/DEBRA
BOBBIN LACE MAKING --- no skills required! A beginning lace workshop where you
will make a bookmark and learn the intricacies of the traditional technique of bobbin
lace. Bobbins and pillow provided for class. $30 W/VERLA
AZTEC TEE KNIT-ALONG --- join Kristin to get started on this cool cotton summer
top (or a different on of your choosing) and learn a few new stitches and techniques.
