CUSTOM WOOL PROCESSING PRICE LIST JANUARY 2014
If you are providing your own wool and have less than 50lbs raw weight, you will be charged the “Custom” price.
If you are providing your own wool and have more than 50lbs raw weight, you will be charged the “Producer” price.
You can get you own natural colours processed. All dyed colours are exchanged for an extra $1.00/lb.

ROPING (ROVING) – Thick, continuous cords of wool for hand-spinning or hooking rugs and saddle pads. There is no
minimum weight requirement for processing into roping.

BATTING – Sheets of carded wool for quilting, felting, or spinning each batt is approximately 96 inches x 62 inches and
weighs between 1 and 2 lbs. There is no minimum weight requirement for processing into batts.

YARNS - There is a minimum weight requirement of 20 lbs clean fibre per batch of yarn. In order to process on our
machines, the fibre from some wool breeds (eg. Romney, Leicester, Shetland, Costwold) must be blended with fine wool
such as Merino or Rambouillet. The blending fibre is provided by Custom Woolen Mills and included in the final cost of the
product. We make the following yarns:
1) Bulky Yarn – 2 or 6 strands of carded wool for knitting or spinning.
