Career Services: One of YSU’s best kept secrets?
It may seem early but even if your student is confident that they’ve chosen a fitting
major, NOW is the time for your student to begin their relationship with our Career
Services Office. This office provides advice about what to do BEFORE you graduate so
that a student stands out from other applicants. They publish a fantastic “Pathways to
Success” Brochure that provides a helpful checklist of what to do each year. A student
can pick this up at their office or see their Peer Mentor. You can find additional
information on the Career Services Office website.
All of the amazing services provided by this office are FREE!

Registration– discussing possible fall class schedules and getting students
connected to their advisor.

Finals Week– study strategies to ensure students get the grades they want

Housing & Residence Life News
If your student lives on campus...
The end of the academic year is just around the
corner. It has been a fantastic year in Housing &
Residence Life. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting
to know your resident and hope that they make the
decision to return to our halls next year. We would
like to thank you, the parents, for everything you
have done to help our residents have a successful
year. Have a great summer, see you in the fall!
5,000 Penguins Strong... is a campus-wide
student involvement initiative to encourage
students to be active within one of our 180
student organizations! If your penguin isn't
sure where to start when looking for the
organization that is the best "fit", they can
check out Symplicity through their YSU
Portal through three easy steps:
