it back to campus!
You are receiving this message today because you signed up for “First-Year Updates” at either
YSU’s Summer Orientation or Spring Orientation. Throughout the course of the Spring 2015
Semester, information will be sent to you via email once a month. These emails will inform you
about transitional issues your students may be experiencing and what activities are going on in
the Center for Student Progress and on campus. If you would like to be removed from this list,
please send an email to [email protected] with the message “SIGN OFF.”
Registration for next semester already?
Registration for Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 will begin in April. Your
student will receive an email regarding the exact date that they are
allowed to register. Any student under 32 credit hours MUST have
academic advisor approval before they can register. Advising
appointments begin to fill up quickly so encourage your student to
schedule an appointment soon.
If your student doesn’t know where to go for advising or needs a
refresher on the “mechanics of registration” send them to their Peer
Mentor for details.
A Review: Academic Support on Campus
We are at the mid-way point of the semester but it isn’t too late for your

SAVE THE DATE: APRIL 25, 2015!
YSU Penguin Productions Board and the Rich Center for Autism are
proud to announce their partnership in presenting FEDERAL FRENZY in
the heart of downtown Youngstown on Saturday, April 25, 2015. This joint
effort, a merger of the previously successful Live on Lincoln and Festival
on Phelps events, will be a celebration of the many talents of the Youngstown State University and greater Youngstown community. Downtown
venues, including Martini Brothers Burger Bar and
Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, will host live music performances throughout the day. Federal Street will be
the home to a local artisan marketplace and an
outdoor stage hosting an evening headlining act.
