Our July program will be our annual pot‐luck picnic
supper. Please bring a dish to share, either a main
course or dessert, and we’ll supply tableware and
water.
This year we are also having a Yarn Swap to help
members reduce and/or refill their yarn stashes.
Simply wrap any unwanted yarn in banded skeins in
a plastic bag and label it with your name and the
price you are asking. We’ll also be talking about
upcoming KAL
KAL’ss (Knit Alongs), so bring suggestions
for projects that you would like to tackle with the
support of a group.

From the President . . . .
It’s July and our annual picnic is almost upon us. Please join in, sharing good food, good company, and great knitting! Please bring a dish to share, either a main course or dessert. Plates, cups, eating utensils, etc. will be supplied.
This year we are trying something new. Since we all have stashes of yarn, including the “what

your stash, or sell your old stash. Just place your yarn in a sealable plastic bag, with your name and the price you would like for the item. Please be sure that you only package full skeins with the label attached. Last month, weaver Barbara Hurley was our guest speaker. She brought with her a full range of looms for us to try out. I think we all had a fine time trying our hands at

We are planning to bring back the KAL (Knit Along), between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00p.m. The idea behind the KAL is for those who join to work on the same project together. This is a great way to learn a new technique, such as beaded knitting, and learn p j

from each other as we work on the project. We would like to know what projects would be of interest to you. Is there some technique you want to learn; is there a particular pattern that would be of interest to others? Let us know at the next meeting.
We will not be meeting in August ‐ ah the dog days of summer! We will resume our meetings in September, with a full line up of guest speakers for the remainder of the year. Check out the rest of the newsletter for what is on tap.

Bryant Park on the Upper Terrace across from the Bryant Park Grill. The program is sponsored by Plymouth Yarn and Crystal Palace, who are providing yarn and needles, which are provided for lessons, but must be returned at the end of the session.
