I was born in San Antonio, Texas, but I was raised and live in Houston. I am also a “New Year baby.” After I graduated from high school, I attended Prairie View A&M University for two years in the nursing program. I got married a few years after, and my husband and I have one daughter, Shardonia. She is married and has four kids. I am also blessed to still have both of my parents. My mother is 83, and my father is 95 years old. My brother and I care for both of them. I have been working in health care for a long time. I worked for twenty years in a skilled nursing facility. I have been working for six years at Colonial Oaks. I started in the Boat House neighborhood and later transferred to Country Lane where I have been for the last few years. I love all the residents and all the Colonial Oaks staff. Something Great is Happening at Warmest Welcome to New Residents Virgil “DeWayne” Stone Mr. Stone was born in Wichita, Texas, in 1925.
